Any word on when Verizon will be getting WiFi calling now that iOS 8 is about to come out?
No idea.
Any word on when Verizon will be getting WiFi calling now that iOS 8 is about to come out?
Simple question: I want a iphone 6 on preorder night. I have verizon unlimited. How do I keep my unlimited plan?
I am grandfathered in with unlimited data.
I do not want to alter my plan in anyway that will take away my unlimited data and I pay full price for all of my phones for this reason.
What do I need to do/additional fees to enable a hotspot so I can use my unlimited data to tether to my Macbook Pro or iPad?
Thanks.
Wow, thanks for the offer.
I am a current VZW subscriber, some months past the end of a 2 year contract with a 4S. Im looking to step up to a 6+ and am fine with another 2 year contract. But my monthly did not go down since month 25, so I'm looking for a new plan that will. Do I need to switch to T Mobile or is there a new (monthly drops after contract) with VZW, such that I don't need to leave?
Does Verizon now have an option with an expiring subsidy? And if so, how is it selected / best purchased?
I am eligible for an upgrade. Do I have to buy my iPhone 6 through Verizon or can I get the subsidized upgrade if I buy though Apple or Best Buy?
I have two lines on a More Everything plan that's 14 months into a 2 year contract. (The third is 6 months into an Edge agreement)
Doing the "Upgrade Eligibility" check online for the two in-contract lines, it logically says, "Upgrade at Full Price", but if I start the process for either one it offers me Edge pricing only.
I added an iPhone 5S to the cart to check, and it went in under Edge pricing ($0 due today). I obviously abandoned the cart at that point...
Question: What are supposed to be the upgrade options for these under-contract lines? Can I jump to Edge ~60% through the current contract? What if I do want to pay full retail? (doing a dry run on Apple.com only offers full contract prices, so that's an option)
Thanks!
I have a Verizon question - right now I am contract free - I bought the iPhone 5 2 years ago for full retail price off contract and I am one of 6 phones in a More Everything Plan with 10 GB of data. I am currently getting the $25.00 a month credit for having an off contract phone.
Does it make more sense for me to buy my iPhone 6 at full retail price and stay off contract, or does it make more sense to join Verizon Edge? I will most likely keep the iPhone 6 for another 2 years because I try to stick to the 2 year upgrade cycle. Or does it make more sense to sign a 2 year contract and get the subsidized pricing if I am most likely going to stick with it for 2 years?
One more question - I know very little about Verizon Edge - to join the program from scratch, do I need to trade in an existing working phone? Or can I join the Verizon Edge program without any phone being traded in?

I've been seeing lots of mixed thoughts/answers on this question from here and Verizon reps:
I am switching to Verizon from AT&T. Will I be able to open a new account and preorder using Edge on the Verizon.com site? I went to my local store today and they said I am approved to get an Edge device, assuming they have it as an option for preorders online.

Just to answer your second question:
Yes, you can join Edge from scratch without giving up an existing device. I'm doing the same thing.
The "out of contract" discounts have to be manually applied. If you're on a More Everything plan, call CS (*611 from your VZW phone) and ask for it to be added on.
What plan are you on now?.
If you're on a single line and keep the phone for 2 years, sign a contract. Definitely cheaper.
Did they give you the application number? I would call CS and verify. 1-800-922-0204 and make sure you don't need a 20% down payment (unless they specified).
Nationwide talk 450
Yes, I have the application number. I specifically asked about the down payment/deposit and the rep said I would owe $0 to start out.
Will the single line plan be available(60/mo with 2gb data) with the iPhone 6?
no I am on a 10 GB More Everything Plan with 5 other phone lines
Here is my situation...
Lost my iPhone 5 this weekend. Currently using a borrowed Motorola droid.
My contract and upgrade eligibility date is 10/12
How can I preorder on Friday and get subsidized pricing with a 2 year contract renewal. I'm currently just 1 line on a more everything plan with 2gb for 90.00 a month. Is it possible to lock into a 2 year with the $60 a month single line loyalty plan? Please advise on my best move, the phone I'm using is killing me and would love to get rid of it ASAP lol
It is cheaper to do Edge then. You get a $25 discount / month on the line with Edge.

OK cool thanks - I will try to sign up for Edge then if I can pre-order it on Friday. Just 2 questions about Edge -
1- If after 20 Months I have the phone totally paid off, is it mine to keep outright? If after the 20 months are paid off and I want to sign up for another Edge Phone would I have to trade in my totally paid off phone or would I be able to do it without trading in?
2 - The rep I spoke to on the phone said that if I pre-order an iPhone through Apple with the subsidized pricing I can then switch it over to the Edge plan once I receive it. Is that correct? Didn't sound right to me...
I have a feeling that my question has been answered, but I can not figure out what it is.
My question is, we have 4 phones on the more everything unl talk & text 8gb plan. I am due an upgrade on my line, can I move just my line to the edge program.
Is it good on any model?
I had an account with Verizon that I canceled 6 weeks ago when I got a surprise invite to order the OnePlus One. Will I be able to open an account with them come preorder time tomorrow night?
Also, will I have to order through Verizon themselves to get the new $60 single line plan with 2GB of data?
