Well, no minutes offer from AT&T for me, but I did get an email from Verizon letting me know they had the iPhone, lol. I think it's because when I left then 2+ years ago, I told them specifically it was to get the iPhone - wonder how many of us jumpers will switch back...

900K phones isn't bad... yet feels low. It will be interesting to hear some real numbers and not just speculation from the Ad guys.

I know my daughter couldn't wait... she called me today on her new Verizon iPhone. :D

Not seeing the value of rollover minutes if you never use them.

Actually a great stunt by AT&T. Customers who never go over won't ever dip into them anyway. People don't change their calling habits radically from month to month, free minutes or not.

My wife and I share 1400 minutes (which we'll never get near to actually using), unlimited texting, and unlimited data on Verizon, and it's $110 per month, before her 20% discount through her work. Even without the discount, it's less than I used to pay for just my iPhone on AT&T.

Puh-lease, AT&T... just focus on pricing and reliable coverage and then you'll be able to compete. Until then, you'll keep bleeding customers.

$110 for 2 iphones with data and unlimited texting on a 1400 minute plan? Mind breaking that down for us? It's $90 for 1400 minutes alone. Add unlimited texts and you're already at $120/month and we haven't even talked about unlimited data yet.

I actually do use them occasionally. I am on a family 450 plan and go over every few months so I am glad for the extra minutes. Never hurts!

Rollover minutes? Gee, thanks! Why stop there, why not give me a few thousand equally useless frequent flyer miles too?

I for one have thousands of rollover minutes that will doubtless expire unused, all the more so once I get the unlimited M-T-M plan added. So this is really meaningless for me.

Now, if they offered 6 months of free WiFi hotspot tethering, that might actually be worth something.

FamilyShare 1400 Plan "Talk & Text". *shrug* Dunno, that's just what Verizon's "My Verizon" page is telling me, and I figure they'd know. Could be wrong though.

1000 rollover minutes? Who cares? Do you know why AT&T offer this? Because it cost them nothing. I have at least 4000 minutes in my rollover bank, and I would probably never use them till the end of time.
Hey AT&T, how about giving things with real value. How about REFUNDING me money for my unused minutes. Or maybe stop charging people to receive SMS. Or increase the bandwidth cap for the data plans.

1000 free minutes

just tried it, and it worked. At least a reply text came back immediately saying, "Thank you for accepting our free 1000 bonus Rollover minute offer. Please allow up to 4 weeks for processing."

AT&T cares about us!!!!!!

Oh wait, I've had to pay for 3G service for 2 years in an area of 100,000, where there is no 3g service (kalamazoo/battle creek)

whoop-dee-fricken doo.

ATT needs to lower prices as an offer. 2 years back I had 7000+ minutes per month thanks to roll-over. Data is used more often than the minutes thanks to Mobile-Mobile and N&W minutes not actually used.

Tethering option without giving up my unlimited plan. Now that's what I'd appreciate.

It worked for me!

I just got a text message back. Looks like we'll have an additional 1000 rollover minutes minutes on our family plan, in 4 weeks. Funny!

WTF really AT&T? You are offering roll over minutes? How about you lower the data cost or provide free mobile hotspot to entice me to stay?

Even better, keep the data plan the same and allow a cheaper voice plan. I don't use my minutes now. Hell, I could get by with 400 anytime minutes.

Eventually

Plans with minutes, texts, rollover, etc., etc., will all go away. We will be paying for bandwidth.

i became part of that 3% as of yesturday. Only 3 months on at&t network and I can confirm that they suck in Hampton roads and Northern VA
