Verizon iPhone X activation problems

Anyone else unable to activate their iPhone X on Verizon right now? I have tried over and over, and either get the message that the activation server is temporarily unavailable, or when I enter my zip code and last four of social security number it says they are incorrect and then eventually locks me out until I start over. Is it just me?
 
You just have to keep trying. This happened to me with the 7 and today with the X. It finally went through. I think its just due to the influx of people activating right now.

If you are already a Verizon customer then just pop the SIM out of your current phone into the new one.

I'm sure the activation servers are overloaded. That happened when I was setting up the moms iPhone 8.

That's why Best Buy hasn't approved my order because of an Activation fail through Verizon. Hope this helps someone.
 
For those who can't activate, did you purchase directly through Verizon? I remember a few years ago, those who purchased the 6 from Apple could not activate their phones because somehow the imei of those phones were not entered into the VZW system. Those who purchased directly from VZW, had no issues.

I purchased via the iPhone Upgrade Program, so directly from Apple.
 
Anyone bought a verizon variant but with a different carrier?

Hows that activation going for you?
 
Still on the phone with VZW support, they have no idea what's wrong. Did anyone else order via IUP a VZW phone? did it ask to verify your billing zipcode and the last 4 of your SS number?
 
I actually just bought the X as a walk-in at my local Verizon store. Their system is just totally bogged down. I ended up leaving the phone with the salesperson to activate while I grab some lunch.

Did they take the sim out of your old phone, or did they try a new sim?
 
Was able to set up my phone but still no service (AT&T). Don't know what to do now. May just swap sim cards.

EDIT: Activated directly on website. Have service now.
