Verizon iPhone X activation problems

Nothing's working with me and now I keep getting temporarily unavailable servers. I'm on conference call with Apple and Verizon trying to figure it out :(
 
i stay without phone because of the problem. stupid verizon, going to switch after i activate the device

Try the trick with putting 0's in both fields

I tried and didn't work. The guys from conference call are now telling me the servers are very busy and just wait on it (my phone is loading, been like 10 minutes)

Now they're chatting to themselves because loading is taking forever and they want to wait on it. I hope it goes through...lol

Well now that I've at least gotten past the setup screens by entering all 0's, I can confirm that the phone is still not activated. It wont let me call or text. Guess it's back on the line with VZW. But at least we are closer than before...

First time I tried only putting zeros in the SS field, didn't work. Then tried using zeros for both fields, and it worked the first time. However, sometimes I couldn't even get to that field at all because it would say the activation servers are busy.

So I think it's a combination of problems - some bug with our identity information being reset to 0s, and the fact that the activation servers are totally slammed.
 
Question - while you are waiting for the phone activation, can you still use the phone on WiFi to set up all your apps? Or is the whole thing dead in the water? I haven’t upgraded since 6+ so I don’t remember the order of the process.

You can’t use the phone, it’s one of the very first steps in the setup process.

Until I could get past the identity confirmation page, it was totally dead in the water. If you cannot activate your phone with Apple's servers, you cannot proceed past the setup screens.
 
vzw has a meeting to find a politically correct solution to reboot there servers.
i tried 0s- no help. It said vzw cannot identify your identity.
OMG i need my phone. it was a huge mistake to activate X on vzw.

Rats. That’s totally crappy for everyone dealing with it. You’d think they’d reorder the process, since a phone without the phone is still usable as an iPod. Hope you get it all sorted soon.
 
Apple rep is having me put mine into recovery mode to try and restart the activation. Also, holding the side button gives you a soft option to restart activation. That didn’t work for me, let’s see if recovery mode does the trick...
 
Worked right out of the box. Never turned on until I put the SIM from my 7+ in the phone. Fired right up and all good

Yes, that happened to me and I clicked to try again over and over and finally got to the 2nd screen where it is confirming my phone number. It's been stuck there about 30 minutes.

That's where I am at. I feel like I should just try later tonight... feels like the servers are too strained right now...
 
Sitting here stuck in the "Could Not Activate iPhone" loop ("activation server is temporarily unavailable"). It's been 30 min or so. I'm on AT&T FWIW. Phone is a brick without activation.

Yes, I ordered Verizon with IUP and I'm stuck on the screen where it asked me to confirm my phone number. The very first screen with the circle, etc. didn't work for me so I'm doing it "manually" with my old phone.

That happened to me. Just click to retry immediately over and over. I got to the next screen in about 5-10 minutes but now I'm stuck on the 2nd screen!
