Verizon iPhone X activation problems

9 hours after getting my phone, it finally activated. Now I'm waiting while it downloads software updates so that I can restore the backup of my previous iPhone. This is an annoying transition.

Luck?! I think I just got lucky on the activation page. I feel bad for everyone that's still stuck at the white screen of death.

Mine wouldn't get past the 'Hola' screen, only to say the phone must be connected to iTunes. I went into the Apple Store since it's only 10 min away and they were able to activate it.

Thank God! This new iPhone X is heaven!

Wasted a couple of hours of my life, perhaps this will help... I had my old phone on when doing this. I called VZW and the solution was: Turn off both phones (don't use airplane mode on the old one, turn it off), wait 10 seconds and only turn on the new phone.

This was helpful as the original instructions on the vew phone said to keep the old and new phones close to each other. So I did but couldn't get past the activation screen. So I turned off both and only turned on the new phone and the activation screen asked for my id and ss# and then proceeded to set itself up. Whew!

Anyone else unable to activate their iPhone X on Verizon right now? I have tried over and over, and either get the message that the activation server is temporarily unavailable, or when I enter my zip code and last four of social security number it says they are incorrect and then eventually locks me out until I start over. Is it just me?
