So my husband went to the Verizon store yesterday and the same guy that said he had the Space Gray Max in stock on the phone (we recognized the voice) but couldn’t disclose how many then told us when we got there that the only one they had in stock was the silver one. We were so annoyed because the reason we called ahead was to avoid the trip in case they didn’t have them. So we are still awaiting movement on our initial order. :rolleyes:

Says Tuesday. Arrived in PA at 12am or so and hasn’t been scanned anywhere since. I live in Virginia. I was hoping it would surprise me and turn up Monday. I’ve gotten things a few days earlier lately. Like my phone case came a day early. When I saw it was in PA I was hoping I would get luckier.

Thanks! I need to get my note ready for UPS. Either today or tomorrow it will probably arrive before I get home and I wanna make sure they get it straight. I’m afraid they won’t deliver because of signature but everyone says if you leave note on door they will go by it... I don’t know we shall see.

Checked tracking. Phone hasn’t been scanned since it arrived in PA 9/22 after midnight. Ugh. I’m wondering if it has just sat there or what?
 
Anyone ever have any issues with FedEx not updating their site? My phones are coming today (supposedly) and have been at my local hub (minutes from me) but still do not say they are on a truck out for delivery. I find that super weird. Anyone ever have anything like this? My wife took a half day to be there this morning so she could sign, I will be taking a half day in the afternoon. We both expected them to be delivered by noon, not the case....

Not just you. My phone arrived in town yesterday at around 5:30pm, and the delivery date still says “Tuesday by 8pm”. Still doesn’t say that it’s on the truck and it hasn’t updated. I would love for it to come before my class this evening but I have a feeling they are sticking with the Tuesday delivery date.

Origin city was Memphis and destination was Los Angeles. Waiting for it to be transferred to Van Nuys or whatever hub services the S.Fernando valley.

FWIW, I've had other packages (not iPhones) being delivered by FedEx that never went to "Out for Delivery" on the tracking. I still got my packages on time.

Ok good to know. That’s what I am hoping for. I will be super mad if something dumb happened and they are gonna try and show up tomorrow. Tomorrow is a BAD day for me, and I dont like leaving notes. I am not in the habit of letting $2500 in phones sit on my porch...
 
Still no updates for me. No CC charges, no tracking. Nothing. My 9/14 preorder at 3PM eastern for a silver 64GB XS Max is still showing Oct 3.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered an SG 512GB on 9/14 at 3:30AM, got an Oct. 3 ship date and there has been no movement ever since.

However, if you go to the Verizon website and try to buy an SG Max, you'll see that both the 64GB and 512GB are on backorder. Only the 256GB is in stock. Looks like Verizon is waiting on a shipment of phones from Apple.

same boat, ordered the 64gb SG on 9/14 at 3pm CST no movement. I was considering canceling this order and getting the 256g but I'm scared to make any changes.
 
update: I chatted with a verizon rep directly on the verizon website to cancel the order because I checked best buy and looks like they have Space Gray Max readily available to deliver to me by tomorrow. we initially ordered a gold Xs and a space gray Xs max as new customers. my gold Xs was delivered and that line is already active. so speaking to the rep she informed us that there was no space gray order showing up on their end... had I not already had the intention of cancelling the order I'd be livid... but I guess it's good I decided to "cancel" it and get the other line through best buy.

wouldn't you miss out on the BOGO verizon special? That's why I'm committed to buying it through them. $700 off is a pretty significant savings.

In other news... my order status just changed to shipped. Yay! Except I have no tracking number yet...

Either way it was cancelled before I intended to cancel it. I know I could’ve called, raised hell, and reordered to push me back in line where I was initially. But I’d rather not stress myself over it as dumb as it sounds. Apparently it was cancelled on the 17th that’s when my Gold Xs shipped. Who knows for what reason. I never received notification of any payment problems, or cancellation notice.

Well, I decided to cancel my order for the 512GB SG Max and place a new order for a 256GB (which Verizon indicates on their website is in stock). I have a lot of digital music files and wanted the 512GB for that reason, but my current size 256GB 8+ has served me well and I do have a streaming subscription.

Hopefully, it ships soon.
 
Today’s the day for me. It’s on the FedEx truck for delivery by 8pm.

By tonight....it will be goodbye iPhone X and hello iPhone Xs 256 GB in Space Gray.

I placed my order on September 21st via the Verizon app.

I got a tracking number this morning. UPS shows it'll be the the 27th for delivery. Label has been created but UPS doesn't have the package yet.
