Only time will tell, but I suspect that VZW is better prepared then at&t
I second this. It baffles me that people continue to ignore the fact that VZW is already handling the massive amount of users on their network that eat up data constantly.

Do you know how different the technology is between CDMA and GSM? It's not, hey let's plug this other chip in and TA-DA it works!
Sprint and T-Mobile are ***** stains quite simply, Verizon is the beast that Apple would love to sink it's teeth into.
For anyone that uses an iPhone for business, it is a very big deal. It will fall under the saying "you don't know what your missing until it's gone". Most people using iPhones probably don't even think about it. They will have a harsh wake up call when they realize talking on the phone while using the data for anything from navigation, looking up info, emailing etc... If you think "multitasking" is a big deal, go try using a smartphone that doesn't allow voice and data at the same time.
I for one never thought twice about it, decided to try put try the Evo before committing to another contract on ATT, lots of great features on the Evo, biggest missing item voice and data bar none.
Do you know how old and tired this argument is? Verizon hasn't done any thing remotely like this for a couple of years now. At least no further than the other carriers do anymore. The RAZR came out YEARS ago yet you're using it in this argument? I assume you haven't used Verizon at all, or at least not recently.
Yes, I am well were of the differences. Look at it another way. If Apple was that worried about selling on VZW, the iPad would be on their network and not ATTs.
I can think of a recent one, all the current Droid phones and GPS. Verizon disables aGPS for all GPS apps except their own. And I am sure there are more things too.
Can someone please explain to me what Seidenberg meant when he recently said at an investors conference, "We would love to have it [iPhone], but we have to earn it."
Does he feel that his company is somehow unworthy of the iPhone? He then told investors that Apple needed to "get with the program". Very conflicting.
This goes back to what I first said, VZW made some demains Apple said no and left.
Just an FYI, your internet connection would not be interrupted when a call came in on Verizon, the call just wouldn't come in.
How does Verizon earn their right to carry an iPhone? Is having the superior network not enough?
When they give Steve Jobs what he wants, they will earn it.

People always use this argument. My argument is, how often would this REALLY affect you?
Incorrect. That is how it operated with GSM.
With CDMA, the data session would be suspended and the call would connect.
And if/when the phone comes out on VZW's network, AT&T customers experiences will improve greatly and VZW's customers will start seeing major problems like some current iPhone users in big cities do know. That is, of course, assuming a large defection of folks from AT&T to VZW.
I have absolutely no complaints here in Houston so I will not be switching.
How did Steve's balls taste this morning?
not true... on edge the call comes through and the data session ends as well
People seem to forget how ruthless Steve Jobs is until he gets his way. Good or bad, right or wrong, he gets his way. This has nothing to do with be a fan or not, this his how he has always been and I don't see that changing...
