Seriously frustrated with Verizon right now.

Placed my order for 16gb Silver 5s on Friday at 3am eastern. Received a text with order number and was told my order should be shipped on 9/24. I'm not the account owner, but I used the owner account (belonging to my family's business) to place the order, with my personal debit card. The order was flagged by the fraud department but I was not contacted. I called yesterday and the CS rep, after talking with the fraud department, said they needed to verify the account with a social security number. I hung up, found the social security number, and called back. This CS rep was useless and did not understand the situation. She told me that my order was cleared and my phone was being shipped. However, as of today, I still haven't been charged. Called Verizon again tonight and this CS rep was more helpful. He understood, but said that the fraud department was closed for the night. I argued that because the CS rep yesterday was at fault for not handling my order correctly, they should expedite my order. He said that he couldn't guarantee anything because of the high volume of orders, and some people are not receiving their orders until next month.

I woke up at 3am Friday to order my phone... I will be pissed if my order is pushed to the end of the line! I'm in a small town so I seriously could have gone to the store, but because of work, and being unsure what their supply would be, I figured online ordering would be the best way to go.

Have similar situation but it's that we opened new accounts with Verizon and they have to run a credit check...but since this is the weekend and credit check people have the weekend off (???) I think our phones will be a bit delayed?
 
getting very annoyed with verizon right now. ordered mine at 3:17am on friday...silver 16GB and still don't have a tracking number :( everyone's posting about having theirs already!
 
Arrived at location... as in arrived at the local destination?

No it just means they went from VZ to the nearest FedEx origin hub. So they are ready to be stuck on a plane or truck for delivery to the destination hub :D

My order confirmation email came in 3:16am on Friday and still haven't received anything new either...still "processing." Ordered 32 GB Silver Gray and 16 GB Gold...only $1 placeholder charge on AmEx so far, but still says shipping by 9/24...hopefully some update will occur overnight.

me too. i have a temp authorization on my card for the full amount, which normally just means it hasn't posted yet. mine says still processing and shipping by 9/24. i just want it to go out tomorrow so i can have it by wednesday. i am in northern virginia, a very populated area so there's no reason for it to have been delayed. i ordered way before the 9am people who got their tracking numbers :mad:
 
I have a tracking number but it's not showing up in Fedex's database yet. Growing impatient already :D

If I remember correctly from last year, there may not be much activity tomorrow. It is scheduled for 2 day, which means FedEx will deliver it on Wednesday. So tomorrow may be quiet until late night when the phones will be loaded on planes and flown overnight to the local airport. Then around 6 in the morning on Wednesday, they will be brought to the local terminals to be put on trucks for delivery.

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember this happening for the past 3 launches. Of course those had pre-orders. I bring this up so that everyone keeps a level head if not much happens tracking-wise until tomorrow night.

not if i don't even have a tracking number yet! come on verizon, i didn't wake up at 3am for you to throw my order in with the later ship dates. pissing me off right now.

I was referring to those with a tracking number already. I'm sure yours will be coming soon. Verizon contracts several companies, at least one of which is in Memphis, to handle phone logistics. I'm sure at this point they are working 24 hours, so I'm sure your tracking number will be up soon. It takes time to stuff the boxes with your receipts, etc. . .
 
If you want my opinion, I think they probably only had a few silvers and golds as of Friday, and they are counting on the Monday shipments to fulfill the rest of the orders that say 9/24, like mine. So let's cross our fingers and hope the Monday shipments have some silver and gold...
 
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, I gots me some tracking!!! Ordered 12:15 PST Friday, got my confirmation around 12:22 or so. I ordered a 32GB Silver. Estimated delivery by Wed before 4:30PM

It was location code W779001 if anyone is tracking that stuff. I also tried all the previously known variants of reference numbers and couldn't get any of them to find it, so I am not sure how to track by reference if you haven't gotten a tracking number yet.


I have NOT gotten a shipping confirmation email, I just spotted it on the preorder status page that came in the original order email.

Edit: the phone is coming out of Memphis
 
I ordered a space grey 16gb thru Verizon's website Friday morning. I got my order confirmation email at 03:08 am. Checked it today and it says it was picked up by Fed Ex in West Chester Pa. On Sunday. EDD Wednesday by 4:30pm
 
My tracking shows that shipment information was just sent to FedEx at 3AM today. The arrival time changed from Wednesday by 4 to Wednesday by 8. LOL.
 
I feel like calling CS 5x a day tomorrow and pestering them about what the holdup is.
But I technically can't cause it's not the 24th yet arghh
 
I've tried from every which way from every possible tracking page including recent purchase history...says STILL PROCESSING. ughhhhh %^*%#?!!!!!!!!
 
I think I got the Verizon reference number.

Its OrderLocation_000OrderNumber

Dont forget to add the three 0's before the order number
 
My fedex tracking info changed a little.

It went to deliver by 9/25/2013 4:30PM to 9/25/2013 8:00PM.

Not a big deal just wondering if anyone else had the same thing happen.
