iPhone 5S 16GB GOLD Estimated Ship Date : 09/24/13. Didn't see a charge so i called customer service. They said everything is on schedule and i should see a charge tomorrow because of the "iPhone 5S being a popular device and its a weekend it will take some time for some orders to process".
 
I just finished an online chat with customer service. They said that 64GB Gold models haven't even started to be sent out yet...

On the good side, he said that the selection for shipment isn't random and they're sent in the order they received. So if you ordered your 64gb gold in the first 10-20 minutes, yours should ship tomorrow or the actual 9/24 date.
 
Got my fed ex tracking number. 32GB silver purchased 202 am CDT. Will be delivered wednesday by 430 pm. Even better, it's my day off. :D

Same thing except mine is the 32gb. Chatted with cust service and they said it was still on schedule. If no change past tomorrow, will be concerned.
 
Ordered a gold 16GB at 11:58PST and received an email confirmation stating that it will be shipped on 9/24.

My CC has yet to be charged and the item has yet to be shipped out/no tracking #. However I noticed that some orders were placed well after midnight and those have already been shipped out.

Complete BS on Verizon's part. It should be "first come, first serve".....not some random order nonsense.

If my iPhone is not shipped out on the 24th - I'm cancelling my order and switching my line to TM.

The box is greyed out right now because it's Sunday. Tomorrow you should be able to do it though. It's to the left of the purple box that says "request notifications", right above the travel history.

Someone asked on FedEx's facebook page why the option is grayed out, and FedEx responded that if it's grayed out, it's because of the shipper's restrictions. Hopefully that's not the case, I was hoping to use that option.

Someone asked on FedEx's facebook page why the option is grayed out, and FedEx responded that if it's grayed out, it's because of the shipper's restrictions. Hopefully that's not the case, I was hoping to use that option.

I called fedex, it said the shipment is not eligible for hold at location. Maybe we have to wait at home.

I'm in the same boat but still have hope. I will probably never order directly through verizon regardless. Will go through apple next time.
 
Ordered 2 iPhone 5S (32gb gold and 32gb silver). I actually ordered the gold first, but I already have a tracking # for the silver even though they both say ship by 9/24 still. The silver has already been picked up, but says delivery is on Wednesday even though it is FedEx 2day. Both were ordered by 3:20am EST. Credit card has a pending charge for the full amount including activation fee for the silver, but not for the gold yet.
 
With 2 day shipping, it doesn't matter if FedEx got your phone yesterday, today or tomorrow at 5PM. It wouldn't arrive until Wednesday.

Not entirely true. I've had experience in the past were I received the delivery earlier than indicated initially.

With FedEx? Never seen it. They will hold packages at your local office for days. I have seen it with UPS, but not FedEx. Either way, Sunday is not a transit day. Nobody has posted a Departure Scan yet so FedEx doesn't even seem to be moving the packages yet.

I wasn't implying I'd get it on Tuesday, but it also only has to come from Memphis, TN to Michigan. I'm assuming I'll get it on Wednesday and if I get it earlier, then great!
 
Mine was picked up and I finally have a tracking number, expected delivery for Wednesday

this is probably accurate, haven't seen a single post where someone with a 64gb gold got a tracking number.

I ordered 2 64GB Golds... hopefully I'll see something tomorrow, or Tues.
 
Seriously frustrated with Verizon right now.

Placed my order for 16gb Silver 5s on Friday at 3am eastern. Received a text with order number and was told my order should be shipped on 9/24. I'm not the account owner, but I used the owner account (belonging to my family's business) to place the order, with my personal debit card. The order was flagged by the fraud department but I was not contacted. I called yesterday and the CS rep, after talking with the fraud department, said they needed to verify the account with a social security number. I hung up, found the social security number, and called back. This CS rep was useless and did not understand the situation. She told me that my order was cleared and my phone was being shipped. However, as of today, I still haven't been charged. Called Verizon again tonight and this CS rep was more helpful. He understood, but said that the fraud department was closed for the night. I argued that because the CS rep yesterday was at fault for not handling my order correctly, they should expedite my order. He said that he couldn't guarantee anything because of the high volume of orders, and some people are not receiving their orders until next month.

I woke up at 3am Friday to order my phone... I will be pissed if my order is pushed to the end of the line! I'm in a small town so I seriously could have gone to the store, but because of work, and being unsure what their supply would be, I figured online ordering would be the best way to go.

That's so annoying, and I've been seeing a lot of similar cases online.
I'm praying that my charge isn't marked as fraud, especially since as a gold buyer shipments are going out later, and arrival has a greater chance of being delayed should this happen. Especially if they don't notify you of fraud.

Reading stories like this is what prompted me to call yesterday/online chat today.. so that if there is a fraud alert I can remedy it quickly and get my phone Wednesday/Thursday. But no one at VZW can confirm the payment is okay because nothing's been billed yet.
 
Did anyone actually get an email saying it was shipped? I just happened to check the site and got the tracking info

This happened to me too.. there was an e-mail, however it went to the account owner (as did the initial order confirmation). I called today to rectify it and it didn't knock my order out. The guy I spoke to was very helpful and we handled everything over the phone. Still shipping tomorrow (supposedly), and if it doesn't it isn't the rep's fault.

FedEx will hold your package until the arrival date. Why? Don't know. But they do it for some reason, UPS delivers earlier if can.
