Shipping to southern CA.

Some of you say yours is arriving on the 24?
Mine says shipped by the 24, did anyone else have a similar date?

Just spoke to a rep on the phone who referenced my order number and time that I ordered (see above) - said it SHIPS tomorrow. Will probably arrive on the 26th.
 
I ordered a 64GB Space Grey and it still says my order is processing. I ordered at 3:26 AM EST.
 
I'm having the exact same issue. I received a shipping confirmation from Verizon but when I click on the tracking number it says:
"Not Found
No record of this tracking number can be found"

Hopefully that means they're getting to mine then eventually since that's the same order location I have.
 
How annoying. If verizon would have just sent the phone by ground/home delivery it would have been here tomorrow instead of Wednesday. Grr makes no sense.

Damn! Just as I was typing this I had a knock at the door, but it was the USPS with my MIME Feather Glass screen protector haha. For just a moment I was like ...no, it couldn't be here yet!
 
Ordered 32 GB gold at 11:57 PM pst, and got confirmation at 12:00 AM pst. Shipped status showed up in the afternoon on Saturday, with the tracking number showing up sometime Sunday. It seems as if you placed a gold 32 or higher order past 12:05 pst, you're playing the waiting game.

I agree. I called VZW to see if they can request a hold at the station. They called fedex and they are still unable to request the hold.

That appears to be as far as the preorder link will take you. Once it says "your order has been sent for processing" it seems useless after that. It's better to switch over to the regular order status page or check your order history. I believe I got my tracking number first by checking my order history screen. The order status page eventually updated with it, but the preorder page never updated again.
 
Thank you to the people who answered my question about cross upgrading :) The rep told me that the phone will come on my line and not the person's upgrade who I use. I just have to switch out the SIM card.
 
Ordered two 32GB silver. Got confirmation details at 3:06AM.

At first on the order status page, it said it will be shipped by 09/24. On sat, however, it changed to Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time. I totally panicked at that lol because it also said "Payment not taken yet." which they DID take.

Long story short, they never updated the status ever againnnn. I tried track by reference several times before, but it just WORKED now! Mine was Location#_000Order# 3 zeros did the trick for me.

FedEx says it will be delivered by Wed at 8PM. EXCITED!

I see what you're saying.
Though, Verizon doesn't even show any orders in my order history or order status panels.

I'm really at a loss, and am going to be mad if this doesn't go through. Gonna try an online chat again once all the agents aren't busy..
 
Ok they just charged my card, and the order status screen changed from "order is being processed" to "9/24/13will ship 9/24/13", so it sounds like some progress is being made, lol.
 
Seriously frustrated with Verizon right now.

Placed my order for 16gb Silver 5s on Friday at 3am eastern. Received a text with order number and was told my order should be shipped on 9/24. I'm not the account owner, but I used the owner account (belonging to my family's business) to place the order, with my personal debit card. The order was flagged by the fraud department but I was not contacted. I called yesterday and the CS rep, after talking with the fraud department, said they needed to verify the account with a social security number. I hung up, found the social security number, and called back. This CS rep was useless and did not understand the situation. She told me that my order was cleared and my phone was being shipped. However, as of today, I still haven't been charged. Called Verizon again tonight and this CS rep was more helpful. He understood, but said that the fraud department was closed for the night. I argued that because the CS rep yesterday was at fault for not handling my order correctly, they should expedite my order. He said that he couldn't guarantee anything because of the high volume of orders, and some people are not receiving their orders until next month.

I woke up at 3am Friday to order my phone... I will be pissed if my order is pushed to the end of the line! I'm in a small town so I seriously could have gone to the store, but because of work, and being unsure what their supply would be, I figured online ordering would be the best way to go.

Update. My calls to Verizon are hit or miss - one rep tells me what they need, I get that information, call back and the next rep says I'm clear. Still no charge on my card and my order status hasn't been updated. Repeat process again. Now, the rep in the Fraud departments says I am clear, but I'm still skeptical. Is it possible that my order could still be on track, even though I haven't been charged? She said "your order has shipped" and I so want to believe her.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. Glad to know that it has worked out for others who had similar situations.
 
Has anybody's phone actually left Memphis? Mine says picked up but it was never scanned for a departure. Unless FedEx doesn't do departure scans like UPS does?

I'm in the same boat as you for tomorrow. I have a one hour break from school until it's work time so I hope it's here when I'm home from school!
 
Has anybody's phone actually left Memphis? Mine says picked up but it was never scanned for a departure. Unless FedEx doesn't do departure scans like UPS does?

Mine has I ordered a space grey one 16gb and it left Memphis at 4.06 am on the 23
 
For everyone who ordered on or around 3:00 a.m. EST on Friday, you will not see a change in your shipment status until Tuesday. It will almost definitely arrive on Wednesday for most people.

Yep. Check back after midnight tonight on Fed ex, and you will probably see that it is being shipped to the next location. For me, from Memphis to Minneapolis. And then late tuesday night/early wednesday morning it will say shipped from Minneapolis to my city for Wednesday delivery.
