Carrier [Verizon Shipping Thread] Anyone get confirmation of a Verizon shipment yet?

lol, I'm in the C-bus area too, but nothing yet on my end...probably due to getting a 32 GB Silver Gray and 16 GB Gold...but yet still ship by date of 9/24.
 
My 32gb gold was just charged to my credit card. It's about time. Verizon has to be the worst buying experience I've had in a long time. Customer service has no clue.
 
So I just took a gander on here to see what was going on and I can't believe what I'm reading.

When Verizon says they will ship by 9/24 then there's your order status. My receipt said, the website said it and my order status says it. Today is 9/23, why is everyone so upset?
 
They are just working through them. Got my confirmation and tracking number earlier today. They are clearly shipping out 2 day. Shipped today for weds delivery. Also dont forget that Fedex can delay the information so it may be on their end as well

When you order from Verizon online, they ship a sealed iphone box within their Verizon box containing the sim and activation instructions. The phone is not tied to your account until you activate it. In this case all you have to do is throw away the sim and instructions and just keep the sealed iphone for resale.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. It says on my receipt that it includes "embedded sim". This doesn't mean that the sim is already in the phone? Also, somebody else told me there is a code on the box that is associated with the phone and that Verizon uses this code to associate the phone with your account. Anybody know anything about this? Sorry for all the questions. There is just so much conflicting information and it's confusing the heck out of me.

As DollaTwentyFive predicted - no movement at all today (monday). I was hoping they'd be at least half way to Chciago by now for a Tuesday delivery. It has happened before. :eek:

I'm in Minnesota. I also just found out that these only require an indirect signature. So you don't actually have to be present for the driver to drop it off. All you need to do is leave a note with the tracking number and your signature and they should leave it.

I live in an apartment so I don't think it's a good idea to have them leave it in the vestibule. :eek:
 
I ordered a 32gb Gold, ship by date was 9/24. Confirmation at 2.33am Central.
Well, my order has just gone from the preorder 'processing' page to reading 'order' and I have a blank tracking number and a status that it will ship by 9/30.

I'm not happy.

Not with Verizon and not with my husband who is the reason I ended up oversleeping my damn alarm to order, yeah and not with apple either, as installing ios7 apparently also reduced the volume on my alarm. I'm probably gonna be in a fowl mood until I get my shiny new toy, then it will all be forgotten. LOL.

Editing to add, they were sure quick enough to charge me for a device they apparently aren't shipping yet though. I have been charged the full amount.

My order was 2:31 central / 3:31 eastern.
Same order as you: 32 gb Gold.

I was 2 minutes before your order and mine still says ship by 9/24/13 and my card was charged today.

If ur card was charged already, u might just have it shipped tomorrow instead of 9/30/13... Unless 2 minutes was the make it or break it.

They don't charge ur card unless it is being shipped.

Not exactly sure, probably about 2.20am I printed out my confirmation but there was no time on it, and the email went to my husbands email account by default and I had to call him and get his password to check it.

Edit, I'm not sure. Checked my chrome history looks like I started the order at about 2.20, then checked apple.com also reddit's iphone page. I know I was trying to decide whether to order online or the store in the morning, but decided there was no chance of getting a gold at a carrier store in BFE Louisiana, so I went with the online order. There are another 4 verizon pages timestamped between 2.30-2.33, so thats when I probably finalized the order.

Oh I see. I placed my order 3:10 EST and had an email @ 3:11. Haven't even been billed yet; only a 0.00 place hold!
And it's the 24th! I don't care if we're two hours in. #restless
