Just ordered the 16GB in Silver. It says ship by 10/14 which means delivered by 10/16.

Hopefully it's much sooner than that.

I'm still waiting for the 16GB Silver I ordered from Verizon on 9/20 at 1pm. It says ship by 10/7, and so far it doesn't look like it's shipping any sooner...
 
Well that sucks to hear, since I'm in the same boat (purchasing with upgrade on business account using my personal card). I just looked at my order and realized it has our companies address as the "Bill To" which is why I'm assuming yours didn't go through. I'm gunna try to call and see what I can do. I'll be severely pissed if it gets cancelled because of their crappy billing/ordering.

Yeah, I would call and try to be proactive about the situation. Can't promise that will help though - I talked with Verizon customer service several times over the phone and was assured that my order was good and there would be no problems.

I ended up going to my local Verizon store and ordering my phone there. However, they used the exact same online order system that anyone can use from home, and entered all of my information the same as I did the first time, so I'm still skeptical that this will work. My expected ship date is 10/14 now. Fingers crossed!

Yea - I called and the guy with VZW Cust Service said I shouldn't have a problem, but I then called the local store and they had a 64GB in stock, so I bit the bullet and got it. They had no problem there selling me the phone on my business account without activating. Working great on T-Mobile at the moment!
 
Still nothing new for my 16GB Gold and 32 GB Silver...got conf email at 3:16 am EST...same expected ship date of 9/24, and expected ship date of 10/16...ironically my contract with Verizon runs out 10/14.

That's so weird. So their getting a shipment on 10/7 and 10/14? I'm in Florida as well :cool:
 
Typical....placed our order for 2 32gb SG and 2 16gb SG on 9/20, approx 15:30 via VZW telesales. We get the "10/7" ship date. I am switching to VZW from Sprint. I am cool with that....didn't stay up till 3:00AM to order. OCD kicks in and I am checking constantly on the order since 9/20. TODAY...activity on the tracking page..."We received your order and it is in process. Payment not taken yet"... Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time." Check email, and get a "Fraud Alert" from Chase. Authorize the purchase online. Take it a step further and I call Chase to authorize. Chase tells me that I have to call the merchant and have them "Resubmit" the order...Cool..I know how this works. Call VZW to get it done....and lo and behold....the guy can't help me. It HAS to be resubmitted by the original person who took the order....who happens to not be in today....FML. Now I am wondering if I will be like the others and be "Dropped" and have to wait another month....sheesh.

UPDATE: VZW rep told me that my ship date is NOW 10/21. NOT HAPPY. She put me on hold and talked to a supervisor. Came back and told me that the order was not cancelled and it is not a new order, so the original ship date SHOULD still apply...but she wasn't promising me anything....Not her fault...but if it isn't...This is NOT a good start to a new relationship with VZW.

Just got a charge on my card from Verizon for the 16GB silver 5s I ordered at 1pm EST on 9/20. Ship by date is 10/7, so we will see how soon it goes out.

I'm glad that you're keeping us updated. I'm following what you post because I ordered mine not long after you. I got charged way back on 9/23 but when I talked to them they said it was supposed to ship but got delayed. So now I have no early indication. But since you got charged today, and ordered right before me, I'm hoping mine will ship around the same time as you. Which should be tomorrow I guess if you were charged just now.

But then again it seems to be totally random and have a lot to do with location so yours could ship tomorrow and mine could ship a week from now.

Ordered 2 32 GB space gray 5s on 9/20 12:05 got confirmation email at 12:16PST with ship date of 9/24.
Credit card was flagged for fraud and was not told but found out by calling Verizon on 9/30. Was told I had to cancel order and start over.
Re-submit order by phone and new ship date is 10/28. Bogus!
And all we got was one 30.00 credit on one of the upgrades.

I ordered space gray 32G on sept 20 in the middle of the day. Verizon says shipping on Oct 7th. This evening my CC started to show pending.
 
WOOHOO....Phones have SHIPPED!!! Original shipment date was 10/7, shipped today, scheduled for delivery on 10/7.
 
I ordered my 16gb SG on the 20th in the early afternoon. Went to BBYM this past Monday evening and bought a 32gb SG as they had one in stock. When I left the mall, I called and cancelled my order with verizon. Then, Tuesday, I got an email that the original order had shipped and is out for delivery today (Thursday). After I received the email on Tuesday, I called verizon back and the rep said the order was cancelled but still shipped for some reason. He said to not sign for the package and tell the delivery driver to return it to the sender and they'll credit my card upon the phone's arrival. He noted the whole ordeal on my account. Haha

OMG you're STILL waiting?? You were one of the first ones with us near-3am people at the beginning of the thread. I just checked back in here for giggles- I can't believe you're still here, you poor thing :( I hope nothing is wrong with your order- maybe it has to do with being two different scarce models.
 
Wow. Seeing that a few of you who ordered on the 20th just receiving your shipping notifications makes me wonder if I really have to wait until the 28th lol. I ordered mine last Saturday night. Hopefully they'll get the supply issue fixed and hopefully start sending out more phones.
 
Expected ship date (of 10/7) has disappeared and my order status has changed to "Your order has been sent for processing" :D (16GB silver, ordered 9/20 ~4pm ET)

lolol, yep! I'm sure it has something to do with ordering the 16 GB Gold and 32 GB Space Gray, but with seeing others who ordered during same time frame makes me think it's of crap Verizon's feeding about orders being shipped in the order they're received. I just think it looks bad on Verizon because the system still says expected ship date of 9/24, then got the 10/16 email at the 11th hour that night. Still hoping that they'll go out before Saturday, but who knows at this point.

In convos with reps, they all just say the same thing, "Yep, I see 9/24, but you should've gotten the email about 10/16, and you'll get a tracking number when it ships, etc."
