This is a long thread so please forgive me if its been discussed already but has anyone ordered their Verizon phone online through Apple? How was the shipping time vs those that ordered directly from Verizon? Just trying to decide which route to take. I'm opening a new account, porting a number from Sprint and looking to get a 32GB Gold if it makes any difference.

I ordered from verizon online. Read my post above with the time ordered.

Verizon is now quoting November delivery times for gold. I just got my gold 32gb today. Haven't opened it. Will open it sometime this weekend. Busy weekend with the kids.

Verizon Order @ 1:15 pm EST

The reason I waited was because I was planning on doing a trade-in for my 4S at the Apple Store after a few days had passed. When I found out Verizon was paying $200 for iPhone 4S, I opted for their online trade-in then went ahead and ordered the 5s.

Ordered on 16GB Silver 5s on launch day at 1:15 pm EST from Verizon online.

Expected Ship Date: 10/07/2013
 
Initial ship date for Gold 16GB was 9/24 (ordered at 12:04AM). Received email on the 24th stating that it was back-ordered and won't ship until 10/7.

Called VZW and complained and received almost $90 in credits because I threatened to cancel my service. Received an email yesterday that it was shipped out and arriving on Tuesday, 10/1.

$90 credit for three day delay. Thank you Big Red.

And to that idiot (greeny something) who said that Verizon couldn't give a you know what about my measly "3 lines".....tell me how my @$$ tastes buddy!

Still nothing new here...seeing some of the people who got delay emails makes me hope I'll hear something soon. Half tempted to just go down to Best Buy and place a reservation to see who ships first lol.

Same here except no shipping information yet but my card was charged Friday. So I'm hoping it will ship out by Monday.

You actually think you're important? Lol. They give you $90 because now they have you locked in for 2 years and they'll make thousands off your ass. If you think $90 means anything to a company that makes billions, you're more of an idiot than I thought. Stop being a self righteous douchebag, Verizon doesn't give a **** about you.
 
For what it's worth, went to the local Best Buy this afternoon and placed a reservation on the 32 GB Space Gray and a 16 GB Gold...at the time they told me they didn't have anything Verizon in. Then about an hour or so later, I got an email saying that my Space Gray was ready for pick up. Not surprised I haven't gotten anything re: Gold yet, but wanted to pass along if you're still waiting for anything beyond the 9/24 expected ship date, Best Buy might be worth a shot. Really don't understand the logistics of how they're allocating these to each vendor, but certainly is not first come first serve as Verizon feels it is.
 
Okay, so what an experience this has been. To summarize what has happened so far; I ordered an iPhone 5s silver 16GB at my local verizon wireless store on September 20th at approx. 4pm ET. Originally I was told a ship date of 9/24 in the store. Upon leaving the store, I looked at the receipt I was given and that had a ship date of 9/27. Not much longer after that I received my email confirmation, which stated a ship date of 10/7. All of this happened within an hour.

I just assumed the 10/7 ship date was extremely conservative and that the 9/24 or 9/27 dates were much more likely. On Monday, the 23rd, my credit card was charged for $213.99, which is what it said I would be charged on my receipt. So the next day, without any updates on my order tracking or any emails, I called customer support to see if anything new was happening with my order. Upon calling the customer support line, I opted to check an order status through the automated system, which then told me something along the lines of "Our records show an order associated with this number has been delivered and activated, to hear this message again press 1." Confused, I called my local store to see if my phone had come in. (I chose to have it shipped to the store obviously) The guy on the phone had no idea what I was talking about, but said mine was supposed to come in the 9/24 shipment, but was delayed a day. So, of course, the next day I called in the evening again. It was the same guy and he still acted like he had no idea what I was talking about, and like he didn't just tell me the day before that they were getting a shipment that day.

Since then I've talked to some reps from customer support who could only tell me things like, "says here your order is scheduled to ship on 10/7." I explained everything above to them, but they acted like I was an idiot and just repeated my estimated shipping date was 10/7.

Once again, today when I called customer support it had told me my order was delivered and activated. So I got a rep on the line and complained like hell. Stating that I didn't care if my ship date was going to really be 10/7, but if it was going to be 10/7 everything I have should say 10/7, and when I call it shouldn't tell me my order is delivered. She couldn't tell me why it was saying that of course. But she did say that my order was originally scheduled for shipment on 9/24, which was why my card was charged on 9/23. My order was delayed though, obviously. She then said that any order for an iPhone 5s silver 16GB placed between 3am ET and 9:30pm ET was scheduled for shipment on 10/7. (So for any of you who ordered that exact model in that time frame who are also confused, there you go.) After she said that she said since my order was at 4pm that it was likely it could ship before 10/7, and that it was actually possible for all of the orders to ship before then. As it's merely an estimate.

So that's been my experience. Extremely confusing, with a lot of very vague answers, and very little communication on Verizons part. I hope you guys are faring better than I am. I just wanted a new phone lol, I didn't realize how difficult it could be to simply order a phone.
 
If I order today, when can I expect the Gold iPhone? When can I expect the White iPhone?
 
Those that had yours shipped today, were you in the expected ship date of 9/24, got the infamous pushed back shipping date email group?
 
Mine shipped today...iphone gold 16gb ordered on 12:19pst on launch day.

I'm hoping my status changes from processing. I ordered my space grey 16gb at 1:15pm-ish cst launch day and my status has been processing with an expected shipping date of 10/7 ever since.

This old palm backup phone is killing me. The ringer works when it wants to, it is incredibly slow to the point it will just freeze with more than 2 apps open, turns itself off in my pocket, etc. haha
 
Nothing new on my Verizon front here, surprise surprise...

I can't remember, but wasn't there something awhile ago where they said there could be a delay with shipping phones due it being a holiday in China this week?
 
I ordered a 16gb gold iPhone 5s on 09/27 and Verizon gave me a ship by date of 11/11.

I guess the delivery date depends on color and storage capacity... I ordered iPhone 5S space grey 64 gb yesterday and my expected ship date is 10/28. I do realize that this date is extended to give them a buffer so I know they will ship it sooner.

Possibly, but I ordered the first day and got told 10/7 (was originally told 9/24) and mine hasn't shipped yet. And 10/7 is only a week away so even if it ships within the next few days it's really not that early. From what I'm seeing it seems to be completely random with Verizon. It's almost like they have no idea what they're doing to be honest. So all I'm saying is, hope for the early shipment, but be prepared for the wait cause it's definitely possible.
 
Just checked VZW site and it says ship date for all iPhone orders now (grey and silver) will ship 10/15.

Patience is truly a ****ing virture.

If I order today it will ship by 10/14 according to a VZW I just spoke to and arrive two days later.
