They usually never do post any info about promos until right before pre-orders start. At least, that is what I noticed in the past.

I havnt decided if I'm going to pre order yet the last two years i preordered, I called and went to my closest Verizon and they had plenty in stock. So i ended up having to cancel my preorder and go from there. Might just do it alittle different this year and wait till the 20th. Go to a verizon rather than having to wait.
 
I'm currently with AT&T, but not under contract. I'm planning to move to Verizon and pick up a new phone.. my daughter will be coming along with me (using a phone we already have). What is the best way to do that? We'll both need to port numbers.. what's the best way to do that? Can I do it online or do I need to go in to the store? I haven't changed carriers in a long time.
 
At least at the moment(before the pre-orders start), any good promotion requires adding a new line. Has anyone had any success getting VZW to match a promotion from another carrier? It seems like switching back and forth is the only way to get good deals anymore. For example, if I switch to AT&T now, I could get a $750 discount on a second iPhone XS plus a $300 gift card. I could also pick up 2 iPhone 8 for free. So basically 4 phones for about $1000(minus $300 gift card), 2 iPhone Xs and 2 iPhone 8s. The only deal I see at the moment on VZW to upgrade is iPhone 7 for $5 a month
 
So I was going to go through Apple, but discovered I have $95 in Device Dollars. Thinking about using those towards an upgrade, BUT could I also use them towards an Apple Watch? Hmmm, decisions...
 
This will be my third year preordering. In the past I've always done it through Verizon. This year I am considering just doing it directly through Apple. My question is if I preorder through Apple will my iPhone be automatically activated to my number/account? I would like it to be ready out of the box and already activated just like how it always is when I order through Verizon. So when if I preorder through Apple will my phone still come activated out of the box with Verizon/my number? Should I just stick to ordering through Verizon? What is easier?

I've always ordered through Verizon and I've always had to activate the phone, either online or by phone. I mean, the phone already is associated with the account, but still had to activate it. Unless I'm misunderstanding you. I've never ordered through Apple, so, I have no idea how that works.

Their promo says “up to $450 off a new iPhone trade with select trade-in.” Not sure what device gets $450, probably XS Max. I’m already on a payment plan so I just get the new phone and they ship it and an empty box and I give them back my old iPhone. 12 payments need to be made, but you can pay the difference if you want to upgrade early.

They probably will. Never again. Last year they took my 3 month old phone and gave me a lot less for it.

Good morning, everyone! That beautiful time of the year is here! I'm hoping to get the 256gb white 11 Pro Max and have it on release day! (I'm thinking it's doable considering a lot of people usually go with the darker colors or will now go for that green!)

I am too.. I was fine with waking up early.
But I don't think its going to be that crazy. This may be random but I heard that the New Iphone gives "some" people the fear of holes called Trypophobia 😛. It'll be just us ordering so we will be fine.. 😉 I may not be accurate though coz some people hates it but still buys it. 🙂

This is my first time on Verizon ordering an iPhone, I did BYOD my 7 plus from Sprint. It's been a while since I have been here for the pre ordeer and first doing it with Verizon, super excited to be with you all!

I will be starting my shift right as the pre order starts. So I figure, I am going in a little early, working a few things, stop at 6 and get my order submitted before continuing work related stuff.

Does anyone have any more info on the VZ deals for new customers? Blogs have said they will have up to $500 in credits with a trade in, and $200 for a new line or new customers. Haven't found out which phones would qualify for which trade in value

After 4 years on Verizons's Trade-Up program where I just turn in my iPhone every 12 months at a loss versus resale of it on eBay, I've finally broken free and paid the $622 balance and listed my iPhone XS 256 on eBay. Should go for $700-$800.

Then I'm going to buy a new iPhone from Apple.com outright. Trying to lower my monthly bill I pay to Verizon and their plan ropes you in but if I lost my job, I'd prefer to have a lower monthly spending than owe Verizon $47 a month. I know it's 0% but the 30 day rolling cost to be alive I'm trying to reduce (paying off a lot of things actually)

Kind of happy to be buying direct from Apple w/ AppleCare pre-registered.

don't really care what color but will probably go 512 this time around. Tired of getting error message saying I'm out of space. But with a 1.5 terabyte iCloud photos library and 300 GB of iTunes music in the cloud, it's sort of just my life in a nutshell.

Good point. Hope it's not indicative of overall slower sales? Maybe people w/ exhaustion of 3 year sin a row of $1149 iPhone purchase or many who are keeping their 10 and 10S a year longer waiting for the 5G version?
 
So I typically preorder with Verizon with the payment plan thing they do. This year I’m buying outright, can I still do it with Verizon? I’m just use to always preordering with them but can’t remember if you can buy it outright during preorders. As a side note I’m going for the pro in silver. I wasn’t going to but my husband wants my xs lol!
