Carrier Verizon Wireless 2019 iPhone Pre-Order Thread

Excited to be back for a presale thread! It's been awhile. I'm going from 7 to a purple 11. I'm nervous about the 8am start time. I hope the site doesn't get overloaded.

My daughter is going from the 7+ to the 11. She is pretty excited after waiting a few years to upgrade.

Yeah, this different start time will be interesting. I feel like demand is not as crazy this year, so perhaps the servers will handle the load just fine. We will find out soon!

Not sure where you herd this but i just called Verizon and cofirmed you can use device dollars for this pre-order

You need to call them or have an account with UPS.

Two agents over chat. Didn’t seem right to me which is why I posted here, so thanks.

I also won’t be home next Friday as I’m traveling for work. If I could do a Saturday pick up with UPS, that would be perfect.

I, for one, am so glad that pre-orders start at 5am PDT/8am EST (my time). No need to wake up at an ungodly 3am to pre-order.

Its great for everyone except for customers Pacific Time. Staying up to preorder at midnight was fantastic. I had lived in Central time previously. Now I have to wake up 2 hours early to preorder :\

Less than 13 hours until launch and absolutely nothing on Verizon’s website about pricing, trade-ins, deals, etc. I also signed up for email updates and have received nothing. That’s absolutely ridiculous—I understand them being a day or two after the Apple announcement, but it’s past time to get their act together.

Having had the 512GB for the past year, I now realize the 256GB would be best for me.

I feel like I'm deciding between green and space grey. Not sure which at this point. Current phone is gold.

I agree.

It does seem very odd that Verizon still has nothing posted about pricing, trade-in’s, pre-order stuff. I see that we can sign up to have an email sent when info is released, but that’s it. What do we make of this? Is there any chance that Verizon isn’t doing pre-orders tomorrow morning?

Any downside to going through Apple if Verizon doesn’t post anything?

I’m in the same exact spot. I’m going back down to 256. 512 was an unnecessary splurge.

Verizon always posts their info late. I wouldn’t worry about it yet.

I’m going for the midnight green Pro Max 512GB. I am also surprised with how quiet this thread is. I can’t remember the last two years if I got my iPhone on release day, I know I got my orders for the soonest shipping available. I want to say I did, in any case I hope I’m able to get mine delivered on the 20th. I’m kind of worried about how many people are going for the midnight green, they may have limited releases on the 512GB version, guess we will see. I’m going to try and order through the app like I did last year, got the XS Max 512GB in gold. Really pumped for the new camera setup. I love taking pics and I have a 2 and 4 year old so I’m always shooting. If I remember correct did they advertise portrait mode for animals in this release? That would be awesome, I’ve taken some decent ones with my dogs on the XS Max but if they improved on it I’d be happy.

I've always done a yearly upgrade since the 6 and I ALWAYS take care of my phone, but this time, there are a couple of tiny, tiny scuffs at the bottom of the screen. Actually the scuffs are in the "black" area just below the display. You can't feel them and you have to really be looking for them under a good light. I hope VZ doesn't penalize me for this, LOL.

It is like that ever year and has not changed. They won’t show anything until you can preorder or a few hours after.
[doublepost=1568339507][/doublepost]I wonder if they are gonna let you pre order early this year like the last two years ....

I’m not seeing the iPhone 11 available when I try to upgrade through the Verizon app. I usually just let order through them every year. Do you have to go through apple this time? I only have one payment left until I’m eligible and it gives me the option to pay it but doesn’t offer the iPhone 11 pro as an option?

you wont be able to see anything till the pre order starts

If you are buying outright, you are going to absolutely want to preorder through Apple so the phone is unlocked and sim free.

The biggest advantage of having an unlocked phone is flexibility. You can move to any carrier you please with your phone at any time. This is especially important for people that travel a lot of spend extended periods of time in other countries. They can just pop in a SIM card from a carrier in that country, get a short term plan from that carrier and keep it moving.

Don’t Verizon (and other carriers) already offer the option of unlocking the iPhone after 60 days of service? That’s not too bad of a compromise for travelers planning to go out of country in upcoming months.

I wanted to just order through Apple but $500 in bill credits for an old iPhone 7 and $300 for an SE might be hard to pass up

There's no way that the iPhone 11/Pro is selling out before 7am PT. You can order at 7am when you wake up and still get a launch-day phone. I'd personally bet a LOT of money on that. Most of the XS models/configurations were available for launch day delivery well into the morning last year (8+ hours after preorders started) - at least on Verizon's site. I'm guessing the 11/pro will be in even less demand.

They won't. Your phone has to be pretty dinged up to get penalized. What you are describing is normal wear & tear.

Lol well what are the prices for each phone? Dumb Verizon

The new iPhones are appearing on the site like they are available to put in your cart, but there's a countdown timer, LMAOOO. Such teases!

That's what I figured.. thanks!

Good thing I saw this thread, I was about to set my alarm to 2:45am CDT thinking preorders started at 3am like the last few years.

I wasn’t going to do it but can’t resist, going for the 256 GB Midnight Green Pro Max!!!!
