I don't know what this thing will look like all put together, but that gun-metal grey looks ugly as sin.

Reminds me of all those millions (billions?) of grey / silver Toyotas out there.

Someone hand me a barf bag - quick.

I wonder how far they are off just integrating the sim into the hardware...?

I don't want to go too much into technical details but let's just put it this way:

The SIM is not only easy for you to transfer to another phone - or another carrier into your phone - it also has a highly encrypted key not accessable to the phone to keep your communication safe. In other words, being on a CDMA network, you loose quite a bit of that. This is the reason so many carriers stick with it for such a long time - or does anyone think that handling the SIM is a cheaper way? All the logistics associated with it...

I seem to remember that Apple wanted it several millimetres smaller, but Nokia/RIM/someone was worried that it was too easy to put it sideways into a micro SIM slot

It wasn't the size, it was Apple's submission requires a tray.

I love all of you guys for this.I

Please don't stop this ever. It makes me giggly giggle. :D

I also love this too but there are some members who are complaining to the mods!

If u don't like it then get out of the forums I say!

Why would the white square on the home button be less bright than the 4s? Unless of course, it is semi-transparent to allow for a notification light to pass through!

</rumor mongering>

P.S. Seriously though, it would be nice.

The mini prefix comes before the micro prefix. Moreover, miniSIMs were a thing too. They are what we had before the iPhone 4 came out but were simplified to just SIM because not much attention had been paid prior to apple caring about them.

Everybody is wrong: It's the iSIM 5

Let me guess, you used to be the guy always posting "first!".

I hope you can cut a micro sim down and then squeeze it tightly into the nano sim tray since nano sim is a bit thinner as well

How times change. I remember back in the day when Apple would completely surprise us with each shiny new iProduct. We'd all ooh and aaah at the keynote, and the next day we'd gaze at the innards on some tear-down website.

Now it's all backwards. :)

Back in 2007, Apple announced the iPhone in January, and we didn't get our hands on it until June!

Plus, George Bush was still President

2012 is much better.

I hope that they never integrate the SIM into the hardware. I love the flexibility of a SIM. If I travel overseas I want to use a local SIM for data, I'm not paying my carrier for international roaming!

If my phone is having problems, I like the flexibility of just swapping my SIM into my old backup phone. I don't want to call my carrier for something like that.

This just confirms they are making that clunky ugly phone, but just like a wife who gains weight after 20 years of marriage, we will love Apple anyway.

Why do we use the term "leaked"?

Every time I see one of these threads, it occurs to me that what we're really viewing is stolen property. Granted the video source isn't the one responsible for the theft - but they are knowingly receiving stolen property.

Odd that no one seems to think they are doing anything wrong....

Oh My God......why does MR keep posting the same damn articles on different days? We've seen this stuff a dozen times already about a smaller sim card! WE GET IT!

Holy Boring Batman... I am also sick of reading this crap. Who really cares???!!!

I know this is a rumour site, but come on, this is the same crap rumour that has been in here and on others for too long.

Make something up, anything, but, damn lay off the parts rumours already. Half of them are probably seeded BS anyway just to see how stupid rumour sites really are.

Wow,
This was almost the most useless information I've received all week.

Yep... damn close
