It’s interesting to hear people now bashing dynamic island. I haven’t tried it and thus can’t make an informed opinion, but this time last year it was the hottest new feature in iOS.Can we all agree saying dynamic island is cringe as #%}^?

You just answered your question. Anything that gets widespread notice and acclaim also produces detractors. It’s interesting to hear people now bashing dynamic island. I haven’t tried it and thus can’t make an informed opinion, but this time last year it was the hottest new feature in iOS.
Or it's a year later & the promise of what could be hasn't resulted in anything worth acclaim. You just answered your question. Anything that gets widespread notice and acclaim also produces detractors.
100% agree with the battery health. My 14PM doesn't last a full day anymore. I almost exclusively wireless charge except with im in the car and have my phone plugged in for carplay. Battery health is 89%. I do also wish Dynamic Island was utilized more.
I didn’t actually ask a question, I just made a statement. I’ve been intrigued about Dynamic Island, but don’t have a 14, so I can’t form any judgement. It’s just a feature I was really excited to see, and disappointed to hear so many complaints a year later. I guess the same goes for stage manager on iPadOS.You just answered your question. It’s gon be lighter due to titanium, I would say that would be a better way for weightI had instant regret buying the Max. It's way too freaking heavy. Definitely going smaller next time, even if the camera is lesser, but even that's not a perfect fix. I'm fine compromising on thinness these days, but I'm tired of compromising on lightness. There has to be a better way...
I thought Dynamic Island was cool. 🏝️Can we all agree saying dynamic island is cringe as #%}^?
I think some people just let their batteries drain too far. I’ve been using wireless charges every night for a few years now on my phones without issue. My 14 pro max is still at 100% health and I use a MagSafe every night. I also get great battery life, but I make sure to keep it above 40%.A common theme I hear with people that have battery issues with their iPhone 14 Pro max is that they use wireless charging regularly. I think that wireless charging negatively impacts the battery health/life of the phone. I had my 14 pro max since launch day never used wireless charging and my battery is still at 100% almost a year later. I also can get a solid day and a half still my phone. But to be honest, I am not a super heavy user that takes photos and video every hour of every day or play games for long periods of times on my phone etc. So needless to say, coming from the 11 pro max to the 14 pro max has been pretty solid for me.
Mine has been great still at 98 percent health which just dropped in last couple weeks from 100 percent. Normal use for me and i am at 60 to 75 percent or more today was on for couple hours solid and am at 72 percent at 4 PM but never go below 60 percent on most days when I put on the apple wireless charging puck. I see no reason as I have said elsewhere to move to the 15 Pro line gonna keep my 14 another year and wait on rumored camera improvements in the 16 pro lineI have been pleased with my 14 Pro Max. Yes the battery do not last the whole day if I’m using it heavily, but that is also why I carry a portable charger with me.
Nope. It's one of my favorite new features. Can we all agree saying dynamic island is cringe as #%}^?
This has been what’s kept me from the Pro Max phones. Hoping the rumoured titanium iPhone 15 Pro Max materialises which should shave off quite a bit!I had instant regret buying the Max. It's way too freaking heavy.
And you’re not alone. I love DI! 🏝️I thought Dynamic Island was cool. 🏝️

It’s a terrible name for a UX artist at Apple who came up with a novel way to use the pill cutout to display info…Can we all agree saying dynamic island is cringe as #%}^?

I’m much the same. My partner has a 12, regularly runs it to the point it switches off. Her battery health is 87%, only about 18 months old. However, my 12 Pro had terrible battery life-I sold that after 2 years and its battery health was at 81%. I’m a light/casual user.I think some people just let their batteries drain too far. My 13 PM had 98% health when I gave it to my wife and now it’s at 87% less than a year later. She only uses wired charging but constantly drains the battery down into the red.
