He is showing us the new mini. What are you intending? watching a prime-time keynote with mini running? clap clap

hmm..pretty convincing, but why would they have a "prototype" in someones home (it doesn't seem very apple headquarters lol) *but then again, ive never seen apple headquarters.

What i want to know is how this kindergartner got his hands on this Mac Mini prototype/pre released product/etc?

I am kinda pissed that he failed to include any video or it booting up, him/her unboxing it/etc.

Nothing that would show us that this thing actually works.

This is good logic.

Okay, here's how I see it.

It has been three days since he originally posted the first picture.

If Apple legal hasn't gone after all of us sites that even HAVE the pictures, then Apple doesn't care.

Because it isn't what they're doing anymore.

Exactly, all logical reasoning suggests that this is a fake. I mean if all he's doing is showing us the outside, then why would he include showing every side of the box except for the underside? The only reason I can think of is that then he would have to show us a close up of the bar code, model number, and other info that would be easily proven as fake info. If he just didn't want to show his serial number on the bottom then he would've just covered it over with black electrical tape so we could see all the rest of the printed info which would've given his video MUCH more credence. So if he's showing us all sides of the machine to prove that it's real except for the side that would be by far the most credible evidence that it's real, then that highly suggests that this is fake.

No, it was made, along with the product itself. There is a gallery of photos and a video in the guides section of MacRumors.

Why? Who the heck says that all three won't just be updated at WWDC?

Meh, fake.

Fake.

Not gonna have 5 usb ports and 2 video ports.

Show us a video with it plugged into an Apple monitor with display port, boot it, select about this Mac from the Apple Menu, click More info... and show the Hardware Overview. At that point we'll have the Model Identifier, Processor name, speed, # of processors and all the relevant info. I'll bet he doesn't do it...

But then again the Mini may not even need an HDMI since some company is making a mini-display to HDMI adapter available March 15th.

Coud be the reason he didn't lift it up was because it would have shown a part number or a prototype number. etc..

Who really knows. I can say this with assurity. you will know when a new device comes out because there will be a rash of O/S updates a week or two before the release. Always happens.

I bet that's Steve Jobs leaking the mac mini, he's got nothing better to do right now since they no longer do keynotes.

I'm suspicious. It wouldn't be hard to make a mock-up out of an older Mini. It's hardly different. And I'd expect a new Mini to adopt a black top. But who knows?

Not me .

Very high possibility imo , especially as SJobs has gone on holidays , they're going to want to reassure share holders for sure . big product launch =massive $$ =shareholders :), simple really

For my part, I think this rumour is at least credible. It seems as though whoever posted this video has spent a lot of time on it without plugging himself and without trying to make any money on it. Therefore, it seems as though it could potentially be real...

Furthermore, from Apple's point of view, releasing this device at the current economic time makes sense...they have declining desktop sales, and they need a low cost alternative to overpriced iMacs and expensive macbooks...

Even if he showed the bottom, someone would say "oh why don't you flip it in the air and catch it". Point I am trying to make is, no one will ever be happy - despite him releasing x amount of videos.

Who ever came up with this idea is genius. I also think it's Steveness himself.
I am a believer too..that it's fake.

That's Steve's emaciated, asian hand rotating that box... as compared to his other hand, which is plump and latino. He had them surgically replaced to throw people off when he does leaked video.
