This was the most disappointing keynote; No updated macbooks in reasonable price range. No major features in iOS 6. VIP email? Do not disturb? Facetime over 3G? How could Apple say these are the major features of iOS6?

Why are people downvoting this? Seems accurate to me. Those iOS features could've been implemented in an iteration of iOS 5, the Macbook upgrades are expected, and the Retina MBP is cool, but not that much of a wow (we were expecting this).

+2C. I also found these news to be very weak at best. Looks like Apple entered a first phases of long and painful death. Hey Steve, they really missed you...

As of this post it is not available for viewing on a PPC based mac on apple.com, podcast, or you tube. Recently updated Intel based Macs only.

^ This seems accurate. I'm on my 7 year old PPC iMac G5 and can't view the keynote. It would be really awesome if someone could upload it to good ol' trusty Youtube for those of us in the dark ages.

:)

They LOWERED the price on a MBA! They doubled the graphics speed, CPU speed and SSD speed on the modal MacBookPro. Stop whining! Or not . . . . .

They even kept the "legacy" MacBook Pros while introducing the NG MBP. The Air on steroids all expected.

Now do that for Intel Server chips in a Mini form factor of arbitrary volume!! No storage spinners or included peripherals required, headless okay. Rackable. Everything internet or spinning external.

HD or 1080p version for iPad 3?

Which podcast should I choose for my iPad 3 for the best possible video quality - the HD one or the 1080p one? It looks like the latter is double the size of the former.

Anybody else notice the elongated iPhone in the BMW dashboard at 79:32 in the video?

Seriously! What was that. Please dont be the next iPhone. That thing was way too tall/long.

EDIT: I agree with other posters. The image is "squished" horizontally making it look taller.

Mmmm... Craig's cookie recipe. I'm gonna have to try that out.:D

(sorry this is so off-topic–it had to be said)

10.6.8, totally updated, on Safari -- and the keynote page is giving me "?" blocks in video windows for the keynote

I have to politely disagree because if you look at picture nothing else seems "squished" look at the start button for the BMW if it was squished then the start button would be oval rather then round.

It is an oval -- the steering wheel as well. you just can't see the distortion on the curves as well as you can see it on the ratio of a rectangle. I squished the picture so that the steering wheel was a circle, and here's how it looks -- the iPhone looks a lot better

Great keynote... I can't wait for the new releases of OS X and iOS...

Mountain Lion looks better than ever! And for 10 bucks less than Lion? I'm getting it the day it comes out!

All this

..and AAPL droped like a rock after lunch, closing $18 off of the daily high. Must be investors are not as impressed as others.

Not able to watch it from safari , Chrome or firefox
OS is 10.6.8, iMac and all the web browsers are updated.
faced same problem with iPad as well , Any suggestions ?

Did (or will) Apple upload the keynote on their YouTube page yet? I'm looking for something to entertain me on a night shift and they ration media streaming here.

Phil flubs a slide

Did anyone else catch Phil Schiller flub a slide during the presentation? The slide said GeForce but Schiller said Nvidia. Ouch!

Apple was clearly trying to dance around a company name that is both a competitor and maker of faulty chips in the past.

Why do they keep saying "Twitter" and "Twittering" all the time?
F this **** and the retards twittering from a $3000 laptop.

I already watched the keynote directly from the Apple website, but I still haven't seen it posted in iTunes yet. Subscribed to both their standard and HD channels...

Strange, it streamed off my ipad perfectly.

Still, does anyone get the feeling the presenters are trying to mimic Steve's presentation style too much? For example, I don't understand why Phil, after mentioning that the new MBP has 750gb of SSD, goes on to emphasize that is 3/4 of a terrabyte. I was like...okay...so what's your point again?

You think the audience don't know that? And anyone who doesn't know that, likely won't care anyways.
