Little update on how it's going with my canceled order:
So, when I ordered the first time, I got an e-mail saying I had to call them to complete my order. I finished this around 11:58. The lady said I could not fix that and had to re-order.
So I did. The order went through, got two confirmation e-mails, two for 10/7, and one for 9/19. What the hell?
I call them back and it turns out they fixed the original order, despite the initial Verizon Rep telling me to re-order the device. And they left the original order. I canceled the two 10/7. I call to make sure I am not missing any information several times, because they had mentioned to me that I had not accepted the terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions never came. I called again, they informed me that there was no pending terms and conditions and that my order was completed. I will get a tracking number when the device ships and the device will arrive 9/19. Ok. Cool. Order never showed up in myVerizon, status page only showed "We received your order and it is in process" and no expected ship date.
Fast forward to yesterday (Monday), I check my order status and it's canceled. WTF. Call them, calmly explain that I did not cancel my order. They agree and see no reason for cancellation and we come to a consensus that it was probably a system mistake.
They rebuild my order. I get an e-mail from an individual Verizon 'Specialist' saying that my order has been completed and that I will get a shipping number when the item ships. I inquire about a shipping address change. They say call back tomorrow when the order shows up in their system. I see this on myVerizon but not the order status page. Order status still shows canceled.
Call this morning. Apparently I have not accepted their terms and conditions. WTF. They say they resent the e-mail and to call them back in an hour. No e-mail. I call them back.
I explain what happens, nice guy immediately contacts his supervisor after making sure he understands the situation. Supervisor creates new order with new shipping address and notes that I have a "jump the line" request to get my old spot in line back. They resend the terms and conditions. I accept them. Verizon order status page still shows 11/4. I call again to verify that I will receive my phone on 9/19. Another rep tells me that she sees the jump the line request and I will most likely not get a ship date until 9/18, as it is probably going to be next day air.
On a side note, previously my orders were not showing up in my Verizon page, but now they do.
For all those people that said "don't worry, just don't think about it", I think in this case this does not apply. If I did not contact Verizon about my order status, I would have possibly never got my phone.
P.S. iPhone 6 Plus 64gb Space Grey. Ordered at 11:55 and located in Bay Area. No tracking number.
(Sorry this happened) but I'm glad I read this. Mine was cancelled and allegedly un-cancelled a while ago. Waiting for a confirmation email, but my status is still cancelled online. Beyond frustrating.
