I had the same problem with my 5s. Bought it at my local Apple Store and they couldn't get it to activate. Tried new SIM cars - same result. Tried a new iPhone - same result. We finally determined there was a glitch in Verizon's system. Buying the phone outright, at full retail with no effect on my contract, threw their system into a tailspin. Thankfully the carriers all had reps at the major Apple Stores. This woman from Verizon was like a demon possessed. She wouldn't let go of my problem until it was sorted, which was more than 4 hours later. But in the end I walked out with a perfectly functioning iPhone 5s. :D

Oh my god I think I still have PTSD from this :confused:
 
Thought I'd post my experience so far. Had to order 5 phones for the office through the VZW Biz site and here's my experience with shipping so far. Definitely the first phones that we ordered were NOT the first ones that shipped.

1. 6, 64GB, Silver - Ordered 1159pm. Received phone call from VZW later Friday morning that the internet order was not processed properly and needed additional CC info from me. After providing that and sitting in the dark for a few days, Monday morning the order went from pending to completed but no tracking information. Later in the afternoon I received shipping confirmation email with UPS tracking information. Tracking number works on UPS site on Tuesday, but package hasn't been tendered to them yet. Wierd, CC preauthorization is $299 and doesn't include the exorbitant California taxes. Final charge hasn't gone through yet though... other pre-auth's though do show correct pricing.

2. 6, 16GB, Black - Ordered 1245am. Website errors forced this order to be changed out of a MoreEverything plan into a regular Nationwide plan. Either way, ordered, and sat in "awaiting inventory" status until Tuesday, changed to "completed" status. No tracking data available yet. Not looking forward to calling VZW on Friday to fix the service plan... :(

3. 6, 64GB, Gold - Ordered 1am. More website errors forced this into Nationwide plan to complete order. Order went from "awaiting inventory" to "complete" on Tuesday, no tracking data on website. Seems like if there's no tracking data, it's likely UPS.

4. 6, 64GB, Gold - ordered 130am. Surprisingly the first one that shipped on Saturday evening via Fedex. Been sitting in Memphis since then with periodic scans once or twice a day.

5. 6, 128GB, Black - ordered 1pm. Shipped on Sunday via Fedex. Left PA and sitting in NJ.
 
Can we start a support group or something cause I'm gonna miss you guys when Friday is gone and done? And I wanna type at you on my new refrigerator phone.

im d771001 and I got charged and changed to order sent for processing. I don't see how you could be much closer than me, I'm in nassau county on long island new york.


I am D772001, ordered 6+ 128 Silver within first 5-7 min of presale on Verizon. I'm in the Baltimore area and mine still says "We received your order and it is in process. Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time." My initial email notification, which came in to me at 4:33 AM (approx 1.5 hours after I placed the order) said it would be delivered by 9/19. I even called my credit card to give them the heads up. I'm praying it gets charged tomorrow and I get a tracking number tomorrow. We shall see...I just can't believe I'm seeing all these people getting shipping notifications and charges, and I have nothing at this point except that initial email. I've tried calling a few times but it's the same answer every time - it's in process and once my card is charged, I'll get a shipping notification. Hurry up please!!! :)
 
Been charged since Saturday, as of today the charge is no longer pending, its already charged and completed. My status is still "Your order is currently being processed. Please check back tomorrow." its been the same since Saturday. Still no shipping info. :confused::confused::confused::confused::(:(:(

I don't think that preorder check get's updated. I had the same thing as you, and just now I went to check on verizonwireless.com by logging into my account and there I found out that my phone has been shipped out with a tracking number and everything, so check there your phone may have been shipped too.

Yeah, I'm actually kicking myself for not ordering the regular 6 with my 6+. I have large hands, but I'm thinking the 6 would have been fine for me. The 6+ is going to be gigantic once I throw a case on it, and it would have been nice to have ordered both so I could decide which one to keep :(

I'm so depressed. I preordered i6+ 128gb right away when they opened. My confirmation email says 9/19 but I have never received my shipping notice. My verizon account order page says "we are experiencing system issues. Please try again later." And if I search for order status it says it's being processed. Verizon tells me everything is good but it's Tuesday night and no shipment yet :(
 
My iPhone has shipped out. It's currently in Newark, NJ. From reading other replies it appears to me that FedEx is holding everyone's iPhones there until they get an all clear for final distribution. As in my case my iPhone has to travel all the way to South Florida.
