Step by step is an understatement. They are monitoring flights and tracking them over the ocean while doin research on the plane it is on such as make, toilet color, and what sized underwear the pilot is wearing.

LOL, Yup! Few years ago I was trying to find the flight when I ordered from Apple. I have no idea how they know flight numbers. I'm nerdy, but not that bad
 
Well I got my confirmation email at 2:01AM but Verizon tells me that I won't get them until 10/14. My confirmation email said 9/19/2014. I feel like I got pushed around in the queue.

Checking Verizon's Order Status says processed and date is not available yet.

Just chatted online with a very helpful Verizon Rep Matthew and he said that my order says that it has a ship date of 9/19 and I should be fine. Not 100%, but said he thinks it'll be fine. Tracking info doesn't get updated until actually shipped. Hope this gives some solace to the rest of us D771101 people who haven't seemed to see any updates all week haha.

i am in the same boat. hate to be skeptical but ive talked to a couple of those guys and they are all over the place. i wouldnt take them at their word.

i am in the same location, same phone except for 128GB, order number 289,xxx, confirmation date 10/7...havent heard a peep.

Oh okay, my Order Number is 151***. I would've gotten my order in sooner but I got that gorramn (<--Sorry, any fellow Browncoats in this thread?) EPCD Error from 2:55am EST on until I got through at 4am EST.

i just checked i have a differnt location number (looks similar to yours though) probably why i ordered at 3:30am EST and have 289k

I'm on EDGE, turned my 5S in and started a 'regular' two year contract. Also had my device shipped to my in-laws in FL where I'll be on Friday(vs CA where I live). CC finally charged full amount after Chase did 'protection' I called three times to ask them not to do in advance... called a rep and ran a different card, got tracking number with UPS, delivers Friday. As Steve would say: Boom.

It's been real gang. :) Until next year's anxiety fest, best of luck and hopefully you all get everything you want/ordered!

This thread is a valuable source of information for a lot of people who have been having real problems with their pre-orders. It already moves at break neck pace and it's hard to keep track of all of the new information the people keep providing. Posting one's tracking information does nothing for anyone and creates more noise for people trying to gather information that might actually be of use to them. There's a thread for people posting tracking updates.

You are totally wrong! Been here since the beginning when we were thrilled to see ANYTHING that shows tracking. It helps show what to expect and gives hope to others. Geez.
 
Yeah seriously got my hopes up earlier today when the verizon manager called me and said my 10/14 delivery date was wrong and the shipping info said 9/19 even though I never revived any tracking or shipping info yet or no CC charge. She swore up and down that her info was correct. An hour later the exact same woman calls me back and says sorry they told me it really is 10/14:rolleyes::mad: Whatever idiots
 
I had to go to the mall today and pick up some bath towels. I happened by a Verizon store and asked him if he would look up my order since it wasn't giving me a delivery date. He said he couldn't get anymore information than what I was getting online. I told him no problem, that I had an iPhone 5 without contract and had paid full price, was in no hurry and just wondering.

He said that they would send people like me that have orders with the old Grandfathered Unlimited data plans to the rear!

I have unlimited and paid full price. Got my shipping notice this morning for my 6+ 128GB.
