My order has been sitting in Newark all week, but they've been continuously scanning it. However, this latest scan updated the delivery time from by 3pm tomorrow to by 8pm. So it looks like tomorrow night's plans may get seriously delayed. So annoying, if it has been 1 state away all week, why not move it to the actual local facility (Baltimore) ?

My expected ship date went from not available to: 10/14/2014

Even though my e-mail confirmation says Deliver By: 9/19/2014 and I had my order in at 3:50am on 9/12, for the iPhone Plus 128GB Space Gray.

Called Verizon again and the rep put me on hold and said it was an issue with the iPhone 6 Plus, and that I should still expect my phone tomorrow, but they were waiting on FedEx and if anything changes they will send an e-mail notification... He said I can expect the phone anytime between 9/19 and 10/14. Ummmmm.... Ok. Thanks!

I regret not ordering directly from :apple: this time around. I would have ordered through them but between 3am and 3:30am their online store wasn't open for me.

Verizon updated order status online.

Still no update on my iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey movement yet.

does verizon iphone comes unlocked? and what would be the upside in getting it over the tmobile version considering you cant make wifi calls with the verizon verision nor get lte on tmobile

Aww damn I just realized that. Oh well. We shall find out just how late UPS is tomorrow because unless they say to deliver before a certain time, I'm always near the end of the driver's route.

I held mine for will call pickup (you can call 800-PICKUPS) give tracking number and as long as you have ID that matches the address go pick it up at your facility at 10am, BUT if you dont do this BEFORE it gets on the truck you cant pick it up until 10PM <-- after the driver makes ALL his deliveries and THAN goes back to the center to have it taken off the truck. you must make this request TODAY or you are waiting.

On a normal day UPS delivers my packages between 6pm-7pm so rather than wait Im going to pick it up!

3:50am for a iPhone Plus is SUPER LATE. People who ordered at 3:05-3:10am for a Plus were getting that same October date. 3:50am NO way you were going to get a PLUS on launch day.

same here. mine is close to yours and no change.

6+ 64 gb silver shipping USPS Priority Mail. Don't know if I'll actually get it 9/19 or not, but at least it shipped.

(Our discount is thru the USPS, and years ago they shipped USPS, but all the iPhone pre-orders have gone UPS or FedEx for us.

Finally Updated

Verizon website finally updated from no info to confirmed shipping date of 10/7. Was really hoping I'd get it tomorrow. Especially after placing my order once pre-order went live.

What are the chances of this changing for delivery tomorrow?

ordered 12:05am, but won't receive until 9/23

ordered @ 12:05am PST 9/12

apparently i was supposed to call verizon to "release" the order. however, i never received any notification that there was any action required on my part, aside from waiting for my shiny new 128 GB SG 6+ to arrive.

when they finally released the order, they didn't ship overnight, instead opted for 2-business day shipping.

long story short, i won't be receiving my iphone tomorrow as i was told on order confirmation page and confirmation email. i should receive it next week on Tuesday.

MAJOR BUMMER. VERIZON FAILED ME.

but hey, at least i'm getting a free case out of the deal (which i won't use).

NOTE: several verizon reps are clueless - they were insisting that preorder means that it ships on release date, not that it's received on release date. LMAO

So this morning my order I made last Friday at 2:01 central in the morning shows up and it has no tracking number and estimated delivery 10/14/14. My confirmation email said 9/19 and it spent over a week in processing. I feel like if I didn't make the first batch Verizon shoved me down further into the queue.

So I still have no tracking number and the order that showed up in my Verizon account today says order date 9/18/2014 so I guess Verizon just now realized I ordered my phone last Friday.

Verizon iPhones come unlocked ever since iPhone5 when LTE started. They are required by law (don't know the details). I've taken my iPhone 5 to international travels and used local SIM cards, no problem.

Tracking # just added, coming tomorrow

D772101, Connecticut, ordered 3:55am, 128GB 6+ silver and 128GB 6 space gray.

Order just updated a few minutes ago with a tracking number, listed as 'picked up' with delivery via FedEx tomorrow before 3pm. Card has been charged for both phones so it's clear they're both in the shipment.

I ordered way before you and got a date of 10/7...called VZW today to validate and they are standing by that date. Not sure why the rep told you to expect it tomorrow and then say between tomorrow and 10/14.

No they are locked.

No, they are SIM unlocked. All Verizon LTE devices have to be unlocked per C Block regulations. A Verizon iPhone will work on TMobile with the right SIM. Both Tmo and VZ use Band 4 for LTE so that would still work. Wifi Calling is hard to say, that's baked in to the OS and baseband which there may be differences that prevent that.

It seems the 6+ 128 SG is the most common model that got pushed to 10/14, you're hardly alone there. Sucks.

Hell has a better chance being on a snow schedule than us 10/7 people getting our phones tomorrow...

Per this page on Verizon's site:

We do not lock our 4G LTE devices, and no code is needed to program them for use with another carrier.

Can someone tell me if my new SIM card I requested will be in the iPhone box preinstalled, or seperate? Just wanted to know in case I want to sell the iPhone as new/sealed still.

Specifically, what do I need to do if I want to sell it as new? I requested it come with a new SIM card on the Verizon site.

Thanks!

The SIM card will be installed in the phone. Whoever you want to sell it to will have to get a new SIM from Verizon since that one is tied to your account.

Verizon may be able to just transfer the SIM to their account but in my experience they always just give you a new SIM

No Verizon 4G LTE device is locked. It was part of their agreement when they purchased their LTE band a few years back. This is a direct quote from their website:

Device Unlocking Policy

We do not lock our 4G LTE devices, and no code is needed to program them for use with another carrier.

----------

Also in regards to Verizon being unlocked:

Verizon 4G LTE devices are unlocked out of the box
One thing to note here in terms of software phone locks is that all Verizon 4G LTE smartphones come unlocked out of the box. The reason why is that the spectrum Verizon is using to build its 4G LTE network had restrictions put on it by the Federal Communications Commission, which required the company to allow "open access" to the network. So as part of this provision, Verizon has decided not to lock those devices. That said, its 3G devices are locked.

So what does this mean for the average consumer? Let's take the iPhone 5 as an example. It's a 4G LTE device. A Verizon version of this phone comes unlocked out of the box. There aren't special codes that need to be entered in order to use it on another carrier's network. But because of the spectrum differences I mentioned above, a Verizon iPhone 5 won't operate on AT&T's LTE network. It will operate on AT&T's 3G network, which is based on GSM. So this means you can use the Verizon iPhone on AT&T, but you won't get the fastest Internet speeds on it.

So I should open the box to remove my SIM? I'm sure people will still buy it if I open it to remove my SIM, right? It is in high demand.

I would, otherwise if they set up the iPhone it would be tied to your account and your number. If you had clicked the don't send me a SIM option you could have sold the box sealed.
