VZW Order Status Thread

Same thing happened to me. However, fedex usually delivers to me before 11am, so I'm hoping they won't be too far behind that considering they have to stop for a signature with every delivery.

Another thought: I wonder if they'll be using dedicated trucks for the phones or will everyone else's deliveries of everything else get pushed back too?

Aww damn I just realized that. Oh well. We shall find out just how late UPS is tomorrow because unless they say to deliver before a certain time, I'm always near the end of the driver's route.
 
My order has been sitting in Newark all week, but they've been continuously scanning it. However, this latest scan updated the delivery time from by 3pm tomorrow to by 8pm. So it looks like tomorrow night's plans may get seriously delayed. So annoying, if it has been 1 state away all week, why not move it to the actual local facility (Baltimore) ?

I would imagine they would "beef up" their staffing tomorrow.

Your best bet is a corporate verizon store. Not even the premium retailers. The actual verizon store. They will have a few of each.
 
It seems like everyone's delivery through FedEx is getting updated today with 8PM delivery. FedEx is usually much earlier than UPS so I'm not too concerned.

I am sorry to hear that. It may have in fact, not changed your expected delivery (mine may have just been delivered 10/7 as well) but for whatever reason, the rep pushed the jump the line request for me which likely pushed me further ahead. Note: this was probably the 8th rep I had talked to yesterday.
 
So I just called Verizon because I haven't received a tracking number yet, even though my email confirmation said the phone was to be delivered by 9/19. She told me that it is still scheduled to be delivered on the 19th, but that that is still an estimate. Since they're working with such high volumes, it might get pushed to Monday or Tuesday (FedEx doesn't deliver on Saturdays). For reference, I got a iPhone 6 16GB in Gold and my location code is D771001.

I personally don't mind if I get it Monday or Tuesday since I ordered relatively late compared to everyone else (~6:30AM)


Just letting anyone know who has the same situation as me
 
My iPhone shows to be sitting in Kentucky since 7:48 this morning which is where it was originally scanned. It does say deliver is on time for tomorrow though. Anyone have their iPhone ship from Kentucky yet? UPS shipping, btw.

My original order was canceled by Verizon and when I called the rep told me that my order had already been recreated and they were pushing me to the front so I could keep my original delivery date. The confirmation email for the new order said 10/28, however, my phone has been shipped and is on track for delivery tomorrow.

In fact, they do. I spoke with my FedEx guy yesterday and he said he and some of his colleagues (who don't normally work on Fridays) signed up for overtime and that his manager called in a couple of holiday-only folks for overtime as well. I'm sure FedEx has done this enough now, they know how to accomodate - in addition to normal "beefing up" for tax deadline, Xmas, etc...

Mine is still sitting in Kentucky, but I trust UPS's deliver by date, so I'm sure I'll get the phones tomorrow.

Also ... for everyone that is expecting delivery by a certain time based on when the FedEx or UPS truck normally comes by, I wouldn't count on that too much. UPS normally delivers by around 3pm at my place, but on a previous iPhone launch date they delivered my phone at 9:30pm!!!!

Mine just changed to delivery by 8pm, it was 4:30pm. I'm in Arizona and it's been sitting in New Jersey most of the week and hasn't moved yet.

Mine is still in Kentucky as well. It's being shipped Next Day Air so I imagine it just hasn't been put on the appropriate flight just yet. I'm sure that will probably start happening within the next couple of hours.

Mine too :( Several people have mentioned that VZW reps have said that this was just a future date they put out and expected to ship at least some of these out sooner so there's always that. :apple:
 
My Fedex delivery now says 8pm tomorrow. Do you think if I stay home from work and, when the Fedex guy arrives, I offer to blow him, I'll get an apple watch?
