Update from my manual entry order page.

My Verizon is finally showing my order.. After giving me the usual error message everyone else has got since 9/12. It shows 10/7 now. Before it gave me the You're order has been received and is being processed, with no ETA.

Then it updated to 10/14 eta, same message.

Now it shows my order number, and no tracking number, and says my order will ship by 10/7.


Going to My Verizon yields this:

I can finally see my order history, as well as my order. Even though I originally ordered 9/12, it tells me "Ordered, 9/18". Same order number as my Confirmation email, so I know my order didn't get changed (as far as I know.)
No ETA on this page however. Clicking on more info for this order, it says there is no record of this order number.

This would have made more sense, but Apple was likely trying to accomplish 2 things: Make sure it's available before the Note 4, and prevent their own cannibalization of people that would order a 6 and then return it for the 6+ they really wanted all along. Getting it out there helps them gauge what the demand really is for going from 4 to 5.5in. ...they certainly learned.

I do agree with that.

Dont know if sharing my experience is helpful but I stayed up until 3:01 AM EST to get my order in. I'm in metro Atlanta. I didnt pay that much attention to the time the order was completed, but Verizons site must have been getting slammed because my first attempt to submit the order got hung. I didnt wait, I immediately refreshed my browser and submitted the order again - the second time, it went through. I'd guess it took about 10 minutes total, so the order was submitted somewhere between 3:10-3:12ish AM EST. I never got the confirmation email (my fault-email address was wrong) but I did get a confirmation request via text at 5:28 AM and I didnt see it or respond until I woke up around 8:00 AM EST.

Initially, the status on Verizons site showed order received, no delivery info available (or something like that) until Tuesday when the message changed to something like processing, check back tomorrow. So on Wednesday 9/17, the status changed to UPSSH, ship date 9/16 and my account was debited for the purchase very early that morning. Thats when I looked at the UPS app on my phone and saw detailed shipping info. The phone should arrive tomorrow 9/19.
 
I have only received a confirmation email with a delivery date of 9/19 listed, but my CC has not been charged and I haven't seen any movement on my order status which has been stuck at "your order is processing. Your shipping details will be available soon" since Sunday

What gives?

Was anyone able to keep their UDP and still pay upgrade pricing? If you're waiting in line tomorrow, are you planning on trying to do this?
 
FedEx WON"T Change delivery address...

I just spoke with a FedEx rep to see if I could re-route shipment to a FedEx office so that I could pick it up early in the day....She informed me that the 'sender' has required that they at least attempt delivery to the address first, before they can divert it to a FedEx location.....Oh well guess I'll be waiting/pacing until it arrives.
Hopefully it'll come early, not sure I can sit still until 8pm!

Has anyone with the cancelation "bug" been given a tracking number yet? My card has been charged, website confirmation said 9/19, email confirmation said 9/19. Order was cancelled and given a new date of 11/4 on monday. Was told by rep at 12pm yesterday that I would hear back within 24 hours about order info, but that people who got their orders cancelled will get their phones on time. Called today when they didn't call me, they "think" I will get my phone but can't provide me an order number or tracking number. I sold my phone 3 weeks ago on gazelle, I need to get a phone tomorrow. I need to make plans to go to the closest apple store (over an hour away) but they won't tell me ANYTHING!
 
Mine has been "at local fedex facility" since Sunday, and today it updated saying "Shipment information sent to FedEx". Does that mean they didn't have my address until today?
 
Well then why would you expect to jump past that?

I was advised per an error on their part, that they would expedite my ship date to 9/19-9/21.

Nah. The pre-auth dropped off on Tuesday and nothing since then. Guessing I won't get anything for tomorrow and thats fine. Planning on stopping by an Apple or VZW store this weekend and checking them out in person...and if I stumble across one in store (doubtful) I'll cancel the pre-order.

Good luck with that.... Honestly. I just got my case for the 6+. passes the fit in my front pocket and sitting down with it test:cool::cool: I got my Lightning /30pin adapter for my car to0. just waiting for the phone now.;)
 
I think they just flat out did not have nearly enough I phone 6 pluses ready to go for launch, they should of just delayed the launch for the Plus by 2 weeks to try to have enough stock.

There's always a shortage at these launches. The 6 is back ordered too. You don't delay a launch because you can't get one to everyone.

Curious if this is what is happening to me, UPS won't let my hold the package for pickup. Wonder why some are able and some aren't, oh well.

Possibly, at the same time, they didn't need your info until today. These things are being sent next-day air by all reports, why would it matter if they sent your address a week ago? What would they do with that information early? They need it today to get it to you tomorrow.

However, in review of your account, I see you spoke with a supervisor earlier this morning and you were advised the shipping date can't be changed and we have to wait until the phone is shipped to cancel order if you want to take that route. I'm trying this using the SIM swap method. But I won't know if it worked until tomorrow.

So you pre-ordered using the upgrade on your line with unlimited data? If the SIM swap method doesn't work then you've essentially lost your unlimited data, right? To me this would be way worse than having to pay an extra couple of hundred dollars.

Agreed, however, you do realize that doesn't mean you'd get your phone any faster. The production will not go any faster or slower these 2 weeks while they are in launch mode, than if they pushed it back. All it would do is prevent some other people from having it before you potentially... which is a very petty reason....

I had the same situation. I am in the atlanta area as well. No status for several days then finally got my tracking number. Order was completed around same time as yours, 312am EST. Phone is chilling in Memphis right now. Cant wait to replace my 4s with it tomorrow :)
 
Just hoping if people decide to cancel orders or cc payments declined they move down the list I don't want to wait till 10/28

I think that's mostly dead. There are some elaborate loophopes described on howardforums.com but Im not sure if they work, and Im pretty positive you couldnt accomplish doing either at an Apple store or Verizon corporate store, the only two places that will (potentially) have devices.

I paid $750, just for peace of mind. UDP will be quasi-neutralized with the upcoming throttling on October 1st, but I mostly use the extra bandwidth at night anyways.
 
They verify mine every year or so: they send an email to my work account and I have to respond from that account.

You're lucky. :) A few months ago I had to e-mail Verizon a screenshot of my paycheck stub to prove I was still working at my company.
