Just spoke to a new rep in the fraud and internet orders department. He said that he can see my phone is preparing for shipment, and that it should ship today, but that in the system it's showing that it will ship with 2 day shipping using FedEx. Anybody else have this problem?
 
You're lucky. :) A few months ago I had to e-mail Verizon a screenshot of my paycheck stub to prove I was still working at my company.

And you're lucky too. Last year I had to sacrifice my first born to them and declare them "The One True God" just to change my data plan. Wife was pissed. But when she realized how many free U2 albums she could download she forgot we ever had a son.
 
Anyone with a 10/7 shipdate get any shipping information?:apple::p

No shipping information but my status FINALLY went from not available to shipping on 10/7. I actually hope that is wrong as I would like to not have to wait until 10/7 for my phone to even ship, still thinking about trying my luck in a Verizon corporate store in the morning.
 
I have been following this thread for almost a week. I ordered shortly after 3 am (3:10 AM) - 6+, space gray, 64.

Upon submitting order, I received a message (on screen) with 9/19 delivery. Needless to say, i was excited to have gotten into the VZW website and get the earliest possible delivery date.
About 5:30 am i received email confirmation but delivery had changed to 10/7 - i couldn't believe it. Called customer service at 9 and spoke with someone who was completely clueless so asked for a supervisor. He was helpful, took information, asked me to send him my screen shot, etc. Called later that day to say he was still tracking information and could call monday.
On Monday, he had not yet called or responded to my emails/phone calls (he had given me his contact info!). I called the 866 # listed in this thread and got another clueless rep and asked to speak to the supervisor. Explained situation and supervisor looked up my account - the other person I had spoken with had only written a few notes. This 2nd supervisor said she'd look into it and call me within 24 hours. IN the meantime, the original person i dealt with contacted me later that night and said there was nothing he could do - blah blah blah - he was nice enough but said I could expect my phone NO LATER than 10/7. Next morning, my cell phone rings and the 2nd supervisor tells me she was able to intervene AND moved up my delivery date. She said it would be SHIPPED on 9/19 and I'd get it next Monday or Tuesday. That was good enough for me! Yesterday I received a UPS tracking number - the phone is ON ITS WAY and scheduled to arrive tomorrow.
VZW seems to have some issues with communication but both supervisors i spoke with did there best to respond to my issues. The guy i talked with thanked me on several occasions for being so "nice" - i'm guessing some of these reps are getting a lot of flack from unhappy customers!

So....

I JUST ordered an iPhone 6 64gb gold for my wife...it'll be here this weekend. My 6+ 64gb gold? Who knows. No updates.

So you pre-ordered using the upgrade on your line with unlimited data? If the SIM swap method doesn't work then you've essentially lost your unlimited data, right? To me this would be way worse than having to pay an extra couple of hundred dollars.

I transfered my upgrade to a line on our plan with tiered data. The rep on the phone said while my contract is renewed, it's the other plan that's getting upgraded, and I won't lose my unlimited data. Unfortunately, it wouldn't let us choose the 2 GB of tiered data that that line currently has, but he said just call before we activate. I asked what it we just swapped the SIM cards before turning the phone on instead of calling (because I obviously want the phone on my line and not the other one, but I wasn't going to tell him that), and he said if it was an iPhone, it should work no problem. So basically, the plan info is on the SIM card they're shipping us... Which I'm cutting up and throwing out and putting in my SIM card before I turn it on.

I asked him what it we accidentally turned on the phone before calling/swapping SIMs, and he said we should call them ASAP to sort it out. Worst case scenario is I return the phone.

But I mean, we could even activate it on the other line for five minutes and then reactivate their current phone. It's the same thing as if we sold the phone to someone else.

Oh my god. I just got transferred to customer care. This is what she just said to me word for word.

(Rep) The launch is tomorrow, we're not getting any phones until tomorrow.
(Me) That's not how it works. Apple gives you the phones during the week so that you guys can deliver them on launch day.
(Rep) Sir, I work for the company, I've been dealing with this all day long. Nobody is getting their phones until next week.
(Me) Mam', I am on an online forum with hundreds of people talking about their verizon preorders. They have all posted screenshots of their order status' and tracking numbers that show that they're getting their phones tomorrow".
(Rep) Well they are giving you wrong information.

You can't make this **** up.

Haha. That's where mine is, too. It's only like 45 minutes away from me! I wanna go get it! It's such a tease knowing it's been so close for a week.
 
I think that's mostly dead. There are some elaborate loophopes described on howardforums.com but Im not sure if they work, and Im pretty positive you couldnt accomplish doing either at an Apple store or Verizon corporate store, the only two places that will (potentially) have devices.

I paid $750, just for peace of mind. UDP will be quasi-neutralized with the upcoming throttling on October 1st, but I mostly use the extra bandwidth at night anyways.

I have been out of contract for over a year now, having bought my last 2 devices a full retail to avoid having to mess with my UDP. However, the 6+ is pricey enough full retail that I can't justify dropping that this year on principle for a phone, money isn't a problem for me.

UDP is numbered anyway, not with the new throttling alone, but some point soon they will take it away from everyone not under contract. Since mine ended up being a phone pre-order they were nice enough to not force me in to more everything, which would have been a lot more technically. I got some special package of 6GB at the same price I was paying for my current plan. (single line) Not bad, in my opinion.

I have only received a confirmation email with a delivery date of 9/19 listed, but my CC has not been charged and I haven't seen any movement on my order status which has been stuck at "your order is processing. Your shipping details will be available soon" since Sunday

What gives?

same situation for me, and i called yesterday afternoon and was told that i needed to "release" my order so that it could be shipped. super lame

Seems like the scenario I was in when I asked about the Edge Up program - as in how much I would have to pay on my old device. Said I had to pay it off completely. I told her no, I can pay off half the device, then send the old one in, I just need to know how much I owe and how to send it back. She argued with me and said she knew what she was talking about, and I was wrong. Told her to get clarification from her supervisor. Eventually I got the information I needed and she was quite humble after that...
 
Mine hasn't left Memphis either.

Two years ago, during the iPhone 5 release, FedEx’s system took a little while to update. So on the morning of the launch, people still had “At local FedEx facility . . . Memphis, TN,” while others were showing “on truck . . . out for delivery.” Mine was still in Memphis until 2:00p.m. and I thought for sure I wasn’t going to get mine that day. Then, a little while later it shows “on truck/out for delivery”, and a couple hours after that, Mr. FedEx man shows up at my doorstep. I doubt it went from Memphis to my door step (nowhere near Memphis) in two hours, so the tracking system was probably slowing down due to geeks like us hitting refresh every 3.4 seconds. I guess the point of the story is to not lose hope tomorrow morning if your package is still in Memphis, or Louisville, or West Chester, or wherever. FedEx knows what they’re doing, they’ve done this before, and they’ll be prepared. Having said that, two months ago I ordered a replacement iPhone 5 through AppleCare and it was stuck at a FedEx sorting facility in Atlanta for 6 days, so who the **** knows…
 
Well today my tracking went from delivered by 9/19 by 3pm to delivered on 9/19 by 8pm so I'm guessing a ton of people ordered in my area. FedEx usually says by 11am, 4pm at the latest when they ship stuff

What is this number because I was screwed over as well?

On Thursday 9/11/14, I did a trial run of the upgrade via the EDGE program. I got a message stating that the "MDN currently on the account does not match the MDN on the EDGE Agreement."

I called customer service and it turns out that when I got my insurance replcament phone, my MDN never updated. Therefore, the system wouldn't allow an upgrade because I no longer qualified for the program.

The rep advised me to try to do the upgrade at 3am that her manager would take care of it.

3:00am Tried it no luck

3:15 Tried to get someone on chat and they were completely useless

6:00am I called in and asked for a manager, they advised I had to come into the store. Meanwhile I am pretty upset because the ship date of the 6+ 128GB was already pushed out to 9/28 at that point.

11am I go into the store and get everything corrected. I place a preorder and the date is 10/14. Now I am still very upset because I should have had an earlier ship date. I mean at least 9/28.

Yesterday, I check my order status and it says 10/28. WTF......
 
So I posted this in another thread in case you missed it:

Just got off the phone with fedex and confirmed you CAN "presign" for your delivery, this is what I am going to do since I cannot be home from 8am-8pm. She said you can just leave a note, with a sig, tracking number and your name. They will leave the package. Keep in mind of course this releases them of any liability, your phone gets stolen you are SOL. In my case, I live at the end of a Cul de sac, my two neighbors are retired and usually home during the day. I will mostly be working from home, however I will have a note ready in case I need to leave, in which case I will have a live webcam watching my front porch, and can be home within 5 minutes, so I'm not really worried about anything getting stolen. I also bought some extra fancy ammo for my assault rifle, pistol, and shotgun in case I need to lay my life down for Iphone 6. (jk) Good luck tomorrow.
 
Customer care girl just conference called in a Fraud department rep. Fraud department rep told me that I should have received an email from the fraud department because my order was being reviewed. She said that if I did not accept the terms of this email within 4 days my order would be cancelled. I NEVER GOT AN EMAIL FROM THE FRAUD DEPARTMENT. NOTHING. ZIP. NADDA. She also said that no iPhone 6+'s will be shipping out for at least a week and most likely in october. This is the same phone call than the guy who said my phone was shipping out today but with two day shipping. I'm about to explode.

Now she's telling me that Verizon isn't sending out these phones, they're coming from Apple themselves.

Can somebody with a 6 Plus preorder PLEASE send me their verizon order number in a PM? I promise I'm not going to sabotage your order. These people seriously don't believe that any 6 Pluses are going out for tomorrow. I'm sorry if this is against TOS, I'm desperate here.

I'm on hold waiting for a supervisor now. That's 3 people in a row who told me I was getting a phone tomorrow , including two today. Now I'm being told I'll have to wait until 11/4.
 
So is everyone checking by there ORDER number, or there pre-order number. I know I have a loooong time, 10/28, but all I have to use my pre-order number to see any info...Is that normal?
