I just chatted up my regular UPS guy. Twin Cities Best Buys will have some 6+s in the morning - they didn't allow preordering for the +s because they didn't know how many they would receive - but they did get some in the orders that were delivered today.

So for those going to stores in the a.m., maybe drop your local Best Buy this evening and schmooze....
 
So is everyone checking by there ORDER number, or there pre-order number. I know I have a loooong time, 10/28, but all I have to use my pre-order number to see any info...Is that normal?

Pre-order number is the one you use. Order number won't bring anything up.
 
I have been following this thread for almost a week. I ordered shortly after 3 am (3:10 AM) - 6+, space gray, 64.

Upon submitting order, I received a message (on screen) with 9/19 delivery. Needless to say, i was excited to have gotten into the VZW website and get the earliest possible delivery date.
About 5:30 am i received email confirmation but delivery had changed to 10/7 - i couldn't believe it. Called customer service at 9 and spoke with someone who was completely clueless so asked for a supervisor. He was helpful, took information, asked me to send him my screen shot, etc. Called later that day to say he was still tracking information and could call monday.
On Monday, he had not yet called or responded to my emails/phone calls (he had given me his contact info!). I called the 866 # listed in this thread and got another clueless rep and asked to speak to the supervisor. Explained situation and supervisor looked up my account - the other person I had spoken with had only written a few notes. This 2nd supervisor said she'd look into it and call me within 24 hours. IN the meantime, the original person i dealt with contacted me later that night and said there was nothing he could do - blah blah blah - he was nice enough but said I could expect my phone NO LATER than 10/7. Next morning, my cell phone rings and the 2nd supervisor tells me she was able to intervene AND moved up my delivery date. She said it would be SHIPPED on 9/19 and I'd get it next Monday or Tuesday. That was good enough for me! Yesterday I received a UPS tracking number - the phone is ON ITS WAY and scheduled to arrive tomorrow.
VZW seems to have some issues with communication but both supervisors i spoke with did there best to respond to my issues. The guy i talked with thanked me on several occasions for being so "nice" - i'm guessing some of these reps are getting a lot of flack from unhappy customers!

I ordered the exact same phone as you at the exact same time, and had a similar issue (said delivery 9/19 as I placed order, later conf email said 10/7). I've been told numerous times in this thread to calm down (despite always being calm), that it's just a phone, everybody's is going to be late.

Turns out I just needed to call and complain to somebody (I did call to verify no fraud alert, but that was it) and I would have had it tomorrow. So that kinda sucks.
 
I have been out of contract for over a year now, having bought my last 2 devices a full retail to avoid having to mess with my UDP. However, the 6+ is pricey enough full retail that I can't justify dropping that this year on principle for a phone, money isn't a problem for me.

UDP is numbered anyway, not with the new throttling alone, but some point soon they will take it away from everyone not under contract. Since mine ended up being a phone pre-order they were nice enough to not force me in to more everything, which would have been a lot more technically. I got some special package of 6GB at the same price I was paying for my current plan. (single line) Not bad, in my opinion.

That's the Verizon Max Plan I was talking about earlier for folks that are coming off the grandfathered unlimited data on the upgrade.:)

-been in Newark since Sunday, today received "shipment information sent to FedEx"
-shipping to Orlando/Walt Disney World area (cross country from Newark)
-still says expected delivery of 9/19 by 8:00 p.m.

beginning to question if it will be here by tomorrow. But who knows! As long as I get the dang thing at some point!:)

Been there..tried that...Didn't help me..just gets my blood pressure up by arguing with idiots..

[Me] If there wasn't 10+ people whose shipping date WAS moved up , I would be OK with that... however, I know of at least 5 people maybe more who made the same call about the same error that I recieved, and their ship date was moved up to 9/19 from 10/7 and they have confirmation numbers in hand...

[VZW]I know it is upsetting to get delayed shipping due to our system error. Certainly, I can understand why you'd be upset. Unfortunately, we do not have a way to move up the shipping. - Michelle
 
Card was charged about 24 hours ago now, and no tracking #...site still says 9/19...come on Verizon...
 
Mine finally left MEMPHIS about 15 minutes ago according to FedEx website, after sitting there since Saturday at 6:31 AM. :eek:

Looks like it's going to San Antonio, then thrown on another plane and (based on Flightaware in my city by 6PM).

I ordered 9/13 with shipment expected by 10/14.

Just checked my order on verizon's website it still states that my order is "in process," but the shipment date has been updated to 9/19.

Still no tracking number and I believe the chat is currently down.
 
You'll have it tomorrow. Fedex will fly it tonight and by the time you wake up it will say, "on fedex truck for delivery."

I preordered an iphone 6 plus on the 12th, and verizon employees tell me I should get it by 10/7 but I still haven't received a shipment email. I dont know what to even do.
 
I transfered my upgrade to a line on our plan with tiered data. The rep on the phone said while my contract is renewed, it's the other plan that's getting upgraded, and I won't lose my unlimited data. Unfortunately, it wouldn't let us choose the 2 GB of tiered data that that line currently has, but he said just call before we activate. I asked what it we just swapped the SIM cards before turning the phone on instead of calling (because I obviously want the phone on my line and not the other one, but I wasn't going to tell him that), and he said if it was an iPhone, it should work no problem. So basically, the plan info is on the SIM card they're shipping us... Which I'm cutting up and throwing out and putting in my SIM card before I turn it on.

I asked him what it we accidentally turned on the phone before calling/swapping SIMs, and he said we should call them ASAP to sort it out. Worst case scenario is I return the phone.

But I mean, we could even activate it on the other line for five minutes and then reactivate their current phone. It's the same thing as if we sold the phone to someone else.

When I talked to the sales rep at my local Verizon store, I explained exactly what I wanted to do. This was probably a stupid move. They explained that if I even transfer an upgrade from a line with unlimited data that I will lose my unlimited data. If I'm understanding you correctly, if you're able to get past this first obstacle, all you would really need to do is switch SIM cards?

They closed the loophole on 8/24/14 ...

Any new data plans have to be left on the acct for the duration of the plan

Have you tried logging in to your account on verizonwireless.com?

Because I had a similar thing. My card got charged but I never received shipping confirmation email, and preorder link to check order status never updated for me either. The only way I found out that my order got shipped was because I logged in to my account on verizonwireless.com and saw there that my order got shipped.
 
I preordered the next morning at about 0800, one iPhone 6 64 silver and one iphone 6+ 128 gray. At first it said the 6 would be here on the 19th, but now the order status just says "being processed" with a delivery date of 10/21.

Who knows what I'll get when at this point!
