Curious if you cancelled beforehand or at the store?

I cancelled on the phone while at the store. They said as long as the order wasn't complete (in other words my card wasn't charged yet), then it wasn't a problem. The sales associate at the store said they CAN cancel as well, but since it was so busy, I didn't make them bother with it and just called them as they were ringing my stuff up.

Cancelled my pre-order, got in line at Verizon at 7am, got the last 2 64gb Plus' they had (space grey and gold). It helps to be in a small town. Now time to play around with it! Good luck to everyone today!:apple:

Did you cancel at the store or the supposed 48 hours before requirement? Thank you.

the 6 Plus isn't outselling the 6, it just appears that way because the supply of it is much more limited. There is a combination of things effecting supply. The yield on the displays for the 6 Plus are much lower the 6. Reports are putting it at about 50-60%. I think they also underestimated the initial demand for the 6 Plus, and had the ratio of 6 to 6 Plus to far towards the 6. They are producing 140,000 6 Pluses a day and 500,000 6's. I suspect that they have the ratio for overall sales pretty spot on, but that kind of people that preorder or wait in a line on launch day are more likely to get the 6 Plus than the general population.

I liken it to the 5S/5C release last year, except for the availability issue.

I ordered through Verizon, just like I did for the iPhone 5. It came fedex for that. I don't know why everyone got fedex or ups and I got lame USPS. I can't stand them either, husband works there and tells me how unreliable they are.

That's why you have USPS. Me too Verizon discount thru post office. They have a contract again that states they use USPS for anyone with the discount. Last year I got mine fedex as well.

i don't hate the post office. I just with the 2day left Wed instead of Thurs nite.

Also, when I originally called the guy he said couldn't cancel my order. I explained that I was told yesterday as long as my card wasn't charged, I could cancel it. He put me on hold for about 3 minutes, and came back saying it was cancelled. So if your card hasn't been charged, don't let them try and tell you can't cancel it.

Ya I know it's outselling the plus, but you wouldn't know that if you read this board full of apple fanboys who can't own an "inferior" phone.

Thanks for the info!

Since mine just went on the truck for delivery at 9:41, I have a feeling that I won't see it until early this evening. Should have gone for store pickup. I live in a small town with less than 20,000 people. I could have my phone now. Wahhhh!!!!!!

Mine has just been delivered. Doorman signed for it. Says there was like a marching band and the package was carried aloft by scantily clad Dutch girls. And in 90 mins I'll be back home, unboxing it. Naked and alive.

9/19 baby!

NINE SLASH NINETEEN!!!

64 GB 6+ gold is in my hands! Picked it up at the local UPS this morning. Fits and feels great on my hand. We are a fairly small town and the gang at UPS asked me to open it so they could see it.

Good luck to everyone! See you next time.

I feel like we're being dicked over by Verizon. They must be allocating a large number of devices to stores, leaving the pre-order people waiting. We know the 6 vastly outsells the 6 Plus, but lets say that half of the preorders on the 12th were for the 6 Plus. That’s 2 million 6 Plus iPhones preordered. They are being produced at 140,000 a day. That’s only 14 days worth of production. So why is my ship date 4 weeks after I ordered the phone, when production on it likely started a few weeks prior?

Friend just told me no 6+ at all in our local Verizon store

DELIVERED!

Won't be home until 5:00pm though :/

FYI I left a written note and the FedEx guy told my g/f he would have left it if she wasn't there. So YMMV on that

Just called my local VZW store where I pre-ordered two regular 6s last Friday.
Although the online status is showing a delivery date of 10/03, they told me the phones will arrive in store today.

I can't believe them. So, before 5 pm this afternoon, I think I'm gonna receive a call: "Sorry sir, the phones haven't arrived today, please be patient, blah blah...".

Got my 6, it was a breeze picking up at UPS this morning. It's restoring now!

How is it similar? Both had plenty of stock.

I did the line thing at an Apple Store last year. Almost everyone there wanted the 5s.

And again, I wasn't necessarily factoring in availability of this year's product. But I see a bigger demand for the plus than the 6. Either that, or the folks who want the plus are a lot more vocal.
