VZW Order Status Thread

Card charged but date moved out?

Anyone have their card charged followed by the date being moved out?

This morning my status was order received with an expected 9/19 shipping date. My card got charged for the order amount so I check the regular vzw order status site and its showing the actual order number instead of the processing message and a 10/17 date in an area marked tracking number. The preorder site says 'sent for processing'.

I'm wondering if that 10/17 is just some sort of placeholder while it works its way through the process or does this mean my order just hit some other long queue?

wow, Literally "ZERO" at our Phoenix stores. :eek::eek:
 
Chicago VZW store killed it!

Was late on my pre-order, expected date was the 10/3. Went into the Verizon store during lunch and was able to walk in and walk out in about an hour and a half!! Amazing! Staff was great, have zero complaints!

Meanwhile there are miles around the block at the apple store a half mile away.

I think I won this round
 
I must have done something in a past life or something, haha. I was third in line at a Verizon store in Philadelphia this morning and after waiting for nearly four hours, this employee comes out at 8am and says Apple sent them absolutely no 6 Plus models. Such good news, haha. I even stopped at a Jersey Verizon store, who also said Apple did not send them a single Plus model. I just went ahead and submitted an order through the Apple store today. I'm not a psychotic fan boy, so a four week wait isn't that bad to me. Haha.

still processing... but my ship date was 11/4. i noticed on verizon site if you go to pre-order it now says ships by 10/31 :mad: does that mean i will get it earlier then 11/4?

UPDATE: when the restore finished, it was all activated and working! Only thing iMessage is a little janky but I think it'll be fine. Good luck!

Nice, oddly on the packing slip it said "in CA you are charged tax on the full phone price (not subsidized) which is $749" but the tax was $0. I'll take it.
 
:( Every package I have ever got from FedEx has came to my door, and if I'm not home it always goes to the front office of my apt complex, which can sign for packages. But this time it didn't, and the phone came while I was at work at 10:07AM EST. I called them within 5 minutes of seeing the online notification and they said the driver would be able to come back and drop the phone off. Still waiting :(. Great customer service from FedEx though, as technically I am in the fault for not printing that notice for the door, but I honestly thought it would be dropped at the front office.
 
yay.. my expected ship date change from 10/14 to 9/19 to 10/14 and now to 10/10.. what's next..?? thanks for the update verizon...
 
My estimated shipping date has changed from 10/21 to 10/17. Not too exciting, but the right direction at least.
 
I was 10/3 on preorder date. Was able to walk into Verizon and cancel on the spot and got my phone. 6, 64GB. Under 1 hour wait and no line when I left at 10:00 am.!

Was told there are NO 6 plus in Denver, CO metro area at Verizon stores. Saw several people walk away unhappy so just a FYI if that is what you need and you are here. Verizon was quoting a 10/21 available date if you preordered.

So far so good. There is some lag and freezing in the music app but I am downloading from the cloud. Hopefully it goes away.

Beautiful display and nice size. I think you all will be happy. :cool:
 
This is a good one! - Phone in Hand!...but phew...

Just did a high speed chase with the FedEx Truck to get my phone. yikes.

first when I got my confirmation email right after pre-order, it didn't have my street name on it, so I called and...long story, my road name is E, and the VZW system drops it because it thinks it is East. So I did a special address correction over the phone yesterday.

Today, first thing I get red bar that says "deliver exception, wrong address - please call" so I freak out and call FedEx but they say no problem, it is set for delivery, they have my address change.

So I'm sitting here, like the rest of the mob, waiting and refreshing when I check and it says,"delivery exception - Customer not available or business closed" WTF...I've been sitting here the whole time and no truck has come up my driveway.

As luck would have it, the time stamp is only 3 minutes ago so I jump in my car, stocking footed and fly down the driveway thinking, "left or right" I take a guess that the truck is moving away from the major metro area at this point in the day so I go left and then after a short bit can actually see the van about 1/2 mile up ahead, lucky up a huge hill straight road. Of course there is another truck and slow tractor ahead of me as the FedEx truck disappears. I spot it again just before it turns left and after another 1/2 mile I get it to pull over. Speeding the whole time!

Of course the driver want to see the "door tag" she left which I quickly explain I don't have because she went to the wrong house. After a bit of hesitation, she gets my phones, I sign for them and head back home. I grab the door tag off my neighbors house.

I live in the country, in case you haven't guessed and must be living right at least for today....This is a TRUE STORY, can't make this up! now it's off to activate.

I left work 3 hours early to make sure I beat Fedex home. And here it is, four hours later and I'm still waiting, lol. Oh well, I'm just anxious. They always seem to come so early when I order things I don't particularly care about, but need, but now, when it's something I really, really want, it feels like it's taking forever. So, the wait continues.
