VZW Order Status Thread

Just did a high speed chase with the FedEx Truck to get my phone. yikes.

first when I got my confirmation email right after pre-order, it didn't have my street name on it, so I called and...long story, my road name is E, and the VZW system drops it because it thinks it is East. So I did a special address correction over the phone yesterday.

Today, first thing I get red bar that says "deliver exception, wrong address - please call" so I freak out and call FedEx but they say no problem, it is set for delivery, they have my address change.

So I'm sitting here, like the rest of the mob, waiting and refreshing when I check and it says,"delivery exception - Customer not available or business closed" WTF...I've been sitting here the whole time and no truck has come up my driveway.

As luck would have it, the time stamp is only 3 minutes ago so I jump in my car, stocking footed and fly down the driveway thinking, "left or right" I take a guess that the truck is moving away from the major metro area at this point in the day so I go left and then after a short bit can actually see the van about 1/2 mile up ahead, lucky up a huge hill straight road. Of course there is another truck and slow tractor ahead of me as the FedEx truck disappears. I spot it again just before it turns left and after another 1/2 mile I get it to pull over. Speeding the whole time!

Of course the driver want to see the "door tag" she left which I quickly explain I don't have because she went to the wrong house. After a bit of hesitation, she gets my phones, I sign for them and head back home. I grab the door tag off my neighbors house.

I live in the country, in case you haven't guessed and must be living right at least for today....This is a TRUE STORY, can't make this up! now it's off to activate.

I got my 128 GB gold 6+ at the Verizon store at 8 am, got in line at 5 and was number 5! It was the last 128 GB left already and I was fifth! :cool:

Hubby got his 128 GB gray 6 delivered via FedEx at 2:00 pm. While the process wasn't seemless, ultimately we get what we want and I'm a happy camper. Now I just need to get off work so I can really play with this phone, and find a dang case for it!

Some first impressions:

I know it's the Facebook app and not the phone but dang that app on this phone has issues! Laggy as heck and definitely issues with landscape.

Landscape home screen, email, Safari, and keyboard are all awesome!

Videos look great. The few pics I have taken look good.

I am having issues with the restore, some of my apps don't seem to be loading, not sure what's up with that?

Overall, I love this phone and am pleased with my decision to purchase the 6+, now I just need to get this sucker in a case before I drop it! :D

So I called them (*611) and had to wait, then spoke with someone, then got transferred to an activation specialist. She looked it up and then said let me do some work on it and talked to the porting people. It ended being about a 40 minute call, but she got them to move the porting date up to today. So apparently it can be done. Then I just had to all to activate from a different line. So I did that.

I am still waiting for my phone to restore off the backup, but I think when my phone comes back on, it should be activating or activated (anyone, feel free to chime in if I'm wrong). I will keep you posted, t minus 27 minutes until the restore is done.

Glad you got it sorted. Mine activated easily enough, then had a chat with the best Verizon rep ever (Cheryl) to get me on the 2gb single line plan. High 5 for no more Sprint!
 
so I just checked my VZW order status.....Had been saying "not available", then went back to its original 10/7 and now it's showing 10/3. I'm hoping the "ship by" just means worse case scenario and it may come earlier.....

A girl can dream :p
 
6 in the house and set up. I am normally a fairly stoic fellow, but this phone is really nice! I came from a 4S and particularly like the larger keyboard. Increased size of the overall phone is no problem.

Fed Ex guy said he was covered up with these.

Got my iPhone 6 128 GB!

Before my butt could hit the seat cushion of my couch after receiving my package from the UPS guy, the BF immediately began complaining ("you gonna be on that that thing all day today??"). Had to wait for him to run some errands to activate and play with my new gadget. He'll be home shortly so I'll have to set it aside and will have to resist the urge to pick it back up into my hands and continue to play with it!!

Placed my order at 11:45AM (on the 1st day of pre-orders being accepted) over the phone, expected ship data moved up from 10/7 to 10/3 :)

my husband would be the exact same way!! Thank God we're both getting one! That way he'll stay off my a$$! LOL

No shipping email, I'm nervous

Order was placed at 12:09a -- called Fraud people to release day later. No emails since. Starting to think I got jacked.

Did you check your spam folder(s)? You should call them as well, just to be safe. tbh verizon employees are somewhat useless right now, as they have limited information in there knowledge-base, but it's still worth calling.

They should at least be able to tell you if your order was cancelled. :/

I'm in love. My first iPhone and this thing is AMAZING. Picked up my iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Gold from UPS will call, right at 10am first in a very long line. WOOT! Now trying to figure out how to make it do everything my Android did :)

Im going to get amazing battery, I prefer my brightness at about 10% which is plenty bright, 100% burns my retinas.
