VZW Order Status Thread

My Verizon 6 Plus (preordered on preorder day at midnight) was scheduled for an October 10th delivery showed up at my doorstep this afternoon.

I switched from Sprint to Verizon.
My best friend (an existing Verizon customer) ordered his iPhone 6 Plus the same time as I did and his phone is still scheduled to be delivered on October 14th.
Sounds like Verizon gives carte blanche to new customers since it's a new activation.

Does it appear Verizon is shipping their phones faster then promised? I am contemplating ordering it online or hoping to find one local.

My phone is currently sitting at the FedEx sorting facility at Richmond International, which means I should have it today, eleven days ahead of the original estimate. Woot!
My phone is waiting at the Fedex in Memphis to be here on Monday.
While I would like it today, my case wont arrive till tomorrow, so I can deal with it.
At least it's earlier than 10/3 due to my contact in VZW management.

I've been lurking on this thread since it was released - just wondering if anyone else had location D020301? I've noticed people posting quite a few but haven't seen this one pop up yet.

Order Email 10/7 then like most everybody bumped to 10/3 last night we went to "sent for processing" and the area for a tracking number appeared. Verizon Edge so no card charge to watch for. Waiting and hoping for a tracking number, maybe Monday delivery!

Literally The same thing happened to me within the first 48 hours of ordering. I got a cancellation email and five minutes later got the confirmation email. Called Verizon and they apologized... a lot, but said there was nothing they could do about the date in the system, it is what it is. That's why Ive been REALLY MAD when I have seen people in this thread saying they have spoke to the right person that offered to move them up in the pre-order line. Sorry friend, but join the club
Well, that is good news. I haven't seen many regular 6, 16gb shipped.
I ordered 16gb silver one the 16th. I think there were more gold made.

Can someone tell me why we can't order the iphone 6+'s (more then one) on Verizon Edge online? It won't even let me put more then one in my basket. lol...
Also, if I go to the Apple store, do they allow us to sign up with Verizon edge through them?

Whattt?! $450 credit limit? That's crazy. :/ I was told that it's based on credit, and that if we do it in the Verizon store, we can have up to 10 lines? I don't know why they wouldn't just check our credit online. I'm not worried about that; it's just more simplistic to do everything on the internet.
They told me it was a system limitation and they can't have more than one edge order online at a time.. It was a big pain in the ass when my wife and I signed up under the edge program. I had to call and get stuff merged back together. I would just go into the store for that. I have been told apple stores do not do the edge program yet. Hey everyone, when did your order show up in your documents/receipt or the order status under your account? ME still nada.

Alright, I've kept my cool through this entire process. But now I'm pissed. "Free 2 day shipping" from Verizon is crap. Today is the second day and it's sitting at the local fedex facility 20 minutes away, and says not due for delivery. I called fedex and they said that I can't come pick it up because of a restriction that verizon placed on it saying it has to be delivered Monday and needs to have one delivery attempt before customer pickup. I understand if this was the day it came out but what the hell?!
So, anyone know what to make of the order number in terms of figuring out how deep the line in front of me is?
My order number is 404****. If I read it literally, that means there are 4.04+ million people ahead of me...but there's no no way that can be the case...right?
Apple sold 9-10 million units in the first weekend. If I ordered at about 7 am 9/12 and am number 4 million-ish, that means that VERIZON had sold nearly half of Apple's haul for the entire weekend before 8 am Friday??
That's completely impossible...right?

My work ordered our phones at 5AM on first day of pre-order. Mine is a 16GB 6+ Space Grey, and I have no idea when it is coming. Work says "we have no way to track it."
