Yes, but I suspect that for those that do have their delivery due today it might feel catastrophic. Also it seems that their overall operations/tracking were impacted, as I have another Apple FedEx package that tracked leaving FedEx Coatesville PA yesterday 6 am to appear in FedEx Newark NJ datestamped 11.23 am today (when in fact it had likely arrived yesterday evening).

The order status webpage just changed completely for me (i've been refreshing it multiple times a day). Used to just say estimated 10/10 ship date. Now gives me an order number slot, which contains an order number I've never seen, and a tracking number slot, which is blank.
Ordered 64GB iPhone 6 Plus Space Grey at 3:15AM EST on 9/12, only to have BigV screw it up. Order didn't actually get placed until 9/15 at 11:06AM EST.

I just got my tracking number from MyVerizon after being charged and processed yesterday evening. Of course it's not working, yet. Interestingly mine says it's coming via 1 Day Ground, not the 2 Business Day usual deal.
I don't know about that. My order page was like that for 2 days until I got charged and in still waiting on a tracking # almost 24 hrs later.
Well that would be rather unusual. I'm certainly very familiar with this after 15 years or so with Verizon.

OH! I WAS charged! I do know that it will ship overnight, because that's how all of our phones are shipped per company contract. Of course I'm flying out to San Diego Tuesday morning, so the race is on. Will I get it Monday?!? #timewilltell #pinsandneedles

The person I chatted with gave me this email address at the fulfillment dept. I emailed them this morning and this afternoon a completed status. It had been saying awaiting inventory since pre order day. Here is the email if anyone wants to give it a shot. MidwestBSC@verizonwireless.com. Sounds like a distribution center. Got an automated reply immediately no other reply but results so I am satisfied with the apparent result.

Just told the I had a 10/7 ship date and had seen many orders with a later time of day and later ship date with tracking numbers and wondered if there was a problem with my order. Was very nice about it. Didn't want to make anyone mad at the shipping facility lol.
