I dont want to pee in your cheerios here, but I wouldnt get too excited. There are still plenty of us on the 12th that have nothing. Not to say we are in line in front of you, just saying that I dont think there is a method to any of this anymore. So, you might get lucky, but I am more mad every day because I used to think the same way 2 weeks ago haha
But, you might have better luck than me. If I didnt have bad luck I wouldnt have any luck at all. So good luck to you! I think its all just based on model, color, etc.
It depends on what you want to prioritize. From a statistical perspective, it's actually more efficient from a service time view to have smaller packages because they tend to have less aggregate service time than large packages, so more get through the queue (like a network, or a transportation system) than fewer large packages. (Queuing theory at work here.) That's why large packets are prioritized at the back of the network queue, to let all the smaller ones go through first.
So, it would be better for Apple to stream small shipments (if UPS and the like could handle that) instead of just bunching them up into much larger shipments. But, your point about cost is true, too. Many smaller packages would create replication of the service structures, and that could cost more. I just think that Apple would be better off to absorb those marginal cost increases and think about how to keep from pissing their customers off by making them wait for shipments like this.
I'm not even concerned. My delivery date shows 10/24 so that's the date I expect it...any earlier is a.bonus
I felt the same way.... Until I started reading this forum!!!![]()
I was not lucky.. I talked online to a rep and heard the same darn thing. You guys must be luckier than me. I've talked to 2 reps and both told me there is no such thing as a confirmation or reference number. *sigh*
Just curious about something... I originally ordered 64 GB gold 6 Plus at 3:45 am on the 12th and was given a shipping date of 10/7. I'm way too impatient for that and ended up going to the store on the 19th and getting my gold 128 GB Plus and canceling the pre-order. Curious as to what has happened with those who had that original shipping date of 10/7. Have you gotten your phones already? Are you still getting them by the 7th if you haven't? Or did your date get pushed back? Inquiring minds want to know! For me, the wait would have killed me, I love instant gratification so I had to go to the store that morning. It wasn't bad, got in line at 5 am and walked out of the store at 8:35!
Haha exactly.
Forum has ruined me. I wake up thinking okay they must have billed me by now and shipped it. But were almost to the 20 day count down!!!
at least I know the max I have to wait is ONLY 29 more days
I received an email from Verizon this morning saying my iPhone 6 Plus has shipped. My credit card showed the charge on Monday as pending. Then it showed it as being charged yesterday morning. And today it finally made it out the door. My original ship date was 10/27/14.
Only disappointment is it is scheduled for delivery on Monday.
lol... How am I going to get out of bed for work every day once I dont have the refresh button to look forward to?!?!
Only another 2,881,000 seconds or so to go!
Back to email, messages and other good news! On my big a iphone!!! Can't wait to have it. Haven't asked to see others just to be more amazingly surprised when I get mine!!
I already have my case, so I just hold it and pretend...

That does make even more sense, great call. So, at least it appears, they are getting even more phones today with 2 big body planes coming in directly to Memphis. My guess we should see more and more shipping over the next few days. Should start to see 1-2 daily trips it appears as well into memphis from China. Things **should** start picking up again after a slacking weekend. From what I've seen, it appears that its not that Verizon is getting one large shipment on the 2nd and one large one on the 14th, but that they're getting smaller shipments a few days before these dates.
A manager stated previously that the next wave of shipments would occur on the 2nd and the 14th of Oct and this was I guess said when the last wave happened which was around the 24th of September. One of the fed ex routes showed that there was a delivery to the Memphis facility on the 19th (launch day), September 24-26th (the last wave of shipments we saw) and that there was another shipment Oct 1st and 2nd. Now all of a sudden, people who got charged on the 29th but were told VZ ran out of phones from the last wave are getting shipments.
To me, THIS would make sense. It is very plausible that by the 29th, Verizon had already dispersed the phones they received from the 24th-26th. Just my theory, ofcourse...But as we know correlation does not equal causation but the Fed EX Route coincidently matched the waves perfectly.
The upside is that you get to read all the bug reports and common issues reported. You'll know what to avoid and even get a chance to cancel/change your order. I changed my initial pre-order from a 6+ to a 6 and I'm thrilled with my decision. I'm just not ready for a Phablet yet and my 6 is way bigger/better than my 5s.
So they should start shipping in mass Monday? or do you guys think tomorrow we'll start seeing some good movement.
I'm 10/10 and still haven't received anything.I'd like to think so but unfortunately, it appears to be done in batches so it really depends on what size and color you have. Right now, it appears that they're working on Space Grey & Silver. SG also appears to be the most popular so who knows how many orders they have to go through. And with the fact they charged alot of phones last week that they have yet to ship, I'm sure that pushes a lot of us back even more. There appears to still be many people with 10/17 ship dates that have yet to receive tracking info. If you're an early 10/24 (as in you ordered on Sept 12th or 13th), I'm starting to think the majority of us won't see anything until the end of next week or right before the 14th.

So people don't receive tracking info but do they receive an email at all confirming the purchase? It just seams strange that NOTHING pops up in my email or when I sign into "My Verizon"....
