eh. mine was a 'ship by of 10/10' (originally 10/14) and I didn't get it until 10/6.
I ordered 9/13 and still showing a "C" and a 10/17 ship date. 6 Plus Silver 128gb.
The 128s have seemed to be rather scarce for both models. I would think you would see something in the next few days.

Well, I ordered four 6 plus's on launch day and my pre-order has been stuck at "expected ship date of 10/24/2014". Our family has been using 4's on 3G for a long time and decided it was time to change. I will continue to wait, but it is getting frustrating as orders placed today have a backorder date of 10/31. Come on Verizon and ship to the pre-order customers as we are standing in the virtual line. This whole pre-order ritual is getting old.

Where are y'all seeing the ship dates? The only ship date I see/have is the one I got in the order confirmation email.
So, here is my updated story: Ordered through link with xfinity to get 200.00 prepaid card. Order went thru, should have delivered today. After many calls to comcast and verizon who said the order was good to go, I find out this,
The promotion was only for residential customers of verizon. The link should have never worked for me since we are a verizon business customer.
Of course, nobody tells me this, and there is my order for all to see. The order is just a "shell". Today, a verizon rep gets on the phone with me and comcast, whose rep says, oh, that shouldn't have went thru sorry.
I had to reorder, no gift card, no free gb of data. verizon is going to add the gb back after I activate my phone which should ship by 10/21. And, I got the infamous, jump the line bit. We shall see.
Now, I am waiting for a supervisor at comcast to complain and hopefully get a credit on my account.

It can be shipped even if you don't have a tracking #. It switches over to shipped as soon as your phone leaves china and that trip into the US can be done the same day. Once it makes it to their sorting facility, they then process it and attach it to your account.
I ordered the same phone, 6 plus 128GB space gray on 9-16. I still have 10-31 delivery date. But my phone now shows in my order history. I hope I get shipping info this week.

Just got tracking number. Two day of course... but at least I know it's on its way.

if they will have 'on-demand/instant ship' supply for all models at Christmas, even at the Apple stores. I'm guessing no.

I ordered the same phone also... 128 SG 6+ on 9/12. I still have a 10/24 (was 10/28) ship date. Hope to see at least something soon. Not in the order history and "C" status in the iconic system.
Mine was in recent orders but it didn't show the phone i ordered, then yesterday it showed the phone I ordered. Then this morning it went from recent orders to order history. My iconic status is still c. I hope this means I'm getting tracking soon!!
Interested to see if this happens. Mine took two weeks before it showed up in recent orders with the phone details, which happened a day or two ago. Still in recent orders, not order history. Wondering what it means, maybe they are allocating phones a week or two in advance as they come off the line and are allocated to Verizon.

Funny game they seem to play. I have two iphone 6's I got by ordering one day and it was here the next day. I have a 128gb 6+ SG I ordered on Sept 12th and canceled and then reordered on October 3rd and I got a ship date of October 31 on that one. So you order on 9-16 and get 10-31 and I order the same phone 17 days later and get the same date. I think they are not telling the truth here.
I also reordered on the 10/5 6+ SP 128gb with ship date 10/31. They must be expecting a big shipment.
Where are you guys seeing these codes at? I only see "order received and is processing" and "expected shipping date" At the "Order Status" page.
When I go to the "order history link" I see the below but I don't see any codes:

I suspect they are planning on being able to ship a certain number per week. Expected dates quickly moved back when a bunch of orders were placed. In that time period there were probably a lot less orders. Couple that with getting a few out early allowing them to adjust their estimates, that shipping window was able to hold for awhile. I still expect orders in that shipping window will be shipped out in order of placement. But a guy ordering on the 20th may wait over a month and you may only wait 3 weeks.
