VZW Order Status Thread

I know, I am just upset. I have read plenty of stories from past years about Apple and their under producing/releasing phones initially driving up demand and it makes me mad as a consumer who wants to spend money on their product.
My Straight Talk ends Saturday. I still show an expected date of 10/31 on Verizon's site so I am debating about cancelling my order. $45 is not a ton of money, but I get mad when I think about the $200 trade in I am supposed to get (if I even get the full amount, reading threads makes that sound sketchy) minus $45. I almost want to cancel on the principle of the matter. Also, I have never had an expensive model phone brand new and since I am now getting one, actually wanted it, when it was new. Feels like by the time all of us get the 6 it will be old news and everyone will be discussing the 6s.
My order status changed and now shows a tracking number box and my iconic has a million text on it now!!!!!

I have a 16 SG+ ordered on 9/20, ship date of 10/24.
Called Apple, and he advised me to do a full restore from iTunes, but NADA...might have some kind of hardware issue... Verizon says its activated, and I can send texts and call, AFTER a couple of minutes of it getting restarted. It will say no service until then, then it screams at me that I Am not activated, even tho I am, and then LTE will turn on. Something is up...

Don't know if it is about to ship or not because this screen only says "Here is the status of your order". It has a tracking field now though...
Lol same. My entire friday has been cancelled. Not leaving the house and will be sleeping on the couch in the early hours so I don't miss the door

It honestly sounds like a SIM card problem....like when you take the SIM card out obviously the carrier logo goes away...I have an old iPhone 3G and the SIM card slot is messed up and it does exactly what your describing except on T-Mobile 3G....I've seen my 5c say not activated if the SIM card is disturbed in the middle of something...if I had to guess I'd say its a bad SIM card or the phone's SIM card slot is bad.

Has anyone had problems with getting the trade in envelope from Verizon. I put a request in on Oct 4 and they told me it will take 5 business days and it's still hasn't arrived. How long does it take them to process the trade in and send me the gift card ?
I emailed Verizon and they said due to the large demand the trade in packages are taking longer than expected and give it a couple of weeks. Of course I put in for mine same day I ordered my phone, 9/28 so we will see. Just in case I went through the process online again. Better to get two return packages than none.
I never got the envelope...I'm just going to do it in person at the Verizon store, the Manager remembers me (I make a note to be memorable
) so if they give me crap I'll give them even more crap back lol. I ordered the envelope but it never arrived (requested it on 9/28)....honestly not worried about haggling with these people in person, over the phone is a pain but in person its not so bad.What model did you buy? so, I got my iPhone 6+...love it so far. Here is the funky thing, they helped me switch hardware, so my main line has the iPhone, and our new line has the S5...All that worked and both are activated with right numbers, but its not showing the Verizon near the signal strength but the phone works...it pops up saying its not activated, but it is...stayed on phone with verizon tech for over an hour, and now I have to now call apple cuz they have NEVER seen that before...
I would first go to a Verizon store and see if there's something wrong with your sim card. If not then I would go to an Apple Store and see if they can fix it right there or if you can get a replacement. It shouldn't pop up and say that you're not activated when you are.
Ah ok, Thanks for the info. Oh, the reason I have prepaid flip phone is because my contract was up with At&T and I was on family plan with a friend from college and we got sweet 25% off on the entire bill. My friend got sick of AT&T and decided to cancel his plan, so I join my girlfriends plan. My contract ended before I could port my number and it's an back order for 6+ so i went wal-mart and purchase flip phone to hold me over. I did not think it was going take the whole month to get this phone. It's murphy law man.. because my friend had G3 he's was going let me borrow but of course it would not activate and I was stuck. So i carry around my iphone 5 for wifi use and flip phone to make calls. I feel like a low tech drug dealer.

It means you're still waiting. "we have received your order and it is in process" same damn thing i'm more than tired of seeing. Just hit the month mark since I ordered it, today. Happy monthaversary to me
