I LOVE it! Its essentially a slightly rubbery bumper but with a protector on the back and on the front screen and its not intrusive what so ever.

the only space gray 64 in my state (florida) is only about 45 min away but its my moms account so i cant go there and buy it cuz im only a member. 64 SG popped up earlier this week at the apple store 10 min from my moms house in virginia and i told her and she said haha sucks, yours will be here soon:mad: she has her gold 6 64gb already, it arrived on the 19th of september.

I know the feeling! I've got my husband's droid mini with a cracked screen after he switched to an 5S. My RAZR was just so slow it was ridiculous and there wasn't anything I wanted to upgrade to. I've always leaned more towards Android, so this will be my first iPhone. I got the iPhone, so I communicate better with my husband while he's currently deployed.
 
I think it's funny that stuff you order from ali express and ebay that come from hong kong (on a boat) actually ship fastdr than this phone. :p I know supply constraints are there but oh boy a month long wait :eek:
 
I was told several times that my phone was shipped overnight but I have a feeling it wasn't and I will be complaining if it wasn't

I chatted a rep a week or two ago about the shipping and I was told he was able to switch it to overnight shipping. I also didn't notice the "box" I was supposed to click to take advantage of the well advertised free overnight shipping promotion. Must have been hidden. I was assured it was changed to overnight, but I'm still hesitant to believe them. I guess we'll see when it ships.
 
Also my order went from order history back to recent orders and shows a order date of 10/16/2014 instead of my original order date of 09/15/2014 but iconic shows shipped so no worries I guess

Did that reset your return period then? I'm curious if they are doing that since everyone's phone is out of the return period although we don't even have them.

I ordered over the phone since I had a case open about a issue rep called me at 7:55am order placed by 8am I didn't have that option just hoping she used good judgement and assumed I would want sooner than later lmao I'll wait on tracking and see

No longer shows return period at all or picture of phone like it did previously
 
Well my phone has a tracking number! Has not been logged into the fedex site but it took about 14 hours after the infamous iconic status changed from a "C" to a "S". I am assuming it will be 2-day shipping so it looks like Monday for me. Now to get a case! I am a life proof case fan but would someone like to suggest a few to look into until the LP case is out?

Still no confirmation email but as of 10am CST this morning I have a tracking number on Iconic.
 
I see an apple store 1hr 30m from me has 6+ 128g in silver.... debating on canceling and heading down and go for the 128 instead of the 64... anyone know if i call them will they hold it for me? id hate to waste 3 hrs round trip for nothing...

Do not think Apple is stupid and did not anticipate the demand. They are a huge, successful business who definitely which has to know how to forecast. If you read past articles you will see this is not new for Apple, so much so that many people believe it is intentional to make their device seem so popular by the fact that it is hard to find, that more and more people want one by the time they are able to find them.

Unfortunately I am not sure they calculate the customers they lose. I like their phones, but this waiting and not being able to get the phone, when you want it, as a customer is BS. Especially for those on here who said they have heard about people walking into stores and getting lucky and getting a model they ordered weeks ago.

Purchase online and do in store pickup. Once you get the "we're ready for you email" you get a few days to pick it up. I literally just got off the phone with the Apple store asking that very question. So no, they won't hold it pre-purchase however once you pay for it they will.

If it is 2-Day and FedEx picks it up today it'll be a Tuesday (commit) delivery. You COULD get it Monday but depends on how Memphis/local ramp pushes it thru the sort; but chances are it'll be Tuesday

Thanks for the response! seems like a gamble..My luck, ill do that and by the time i cancel and re order from apple it will be gone and ill have to wait until Dec lol
