Big surprise for me this morning. My 10/3 order for 6+ 64GB SG with an estimated ship date of 11/14 just shipped this morning. Hoping to have it delivered by Tuesday.

Happy for you. I also have a 14th ship date but nothing is moving as of this morning. It is very frustrating as my local Apple store has the exact phone I want available today. I would cancel my order and buy it, had I not squeaked in under the old Edge agreement which allows me to trade in the phone in 12 months and spread the payments over 20 months. I much prefer that to the new terms which require you to pay off 75% of the phone with 24 months of payments. If I cancel the order, I would have to sign a new Edge agreement with the less favorable terms. I'm still debating it in my mind, but my inclination is to just wait and get the advantage of the quicker trade-in.

This is the first time I have seen a VZ SG 64GB phone at any retail outlet, so the supply must be finally catching up with demand.

I wouldn't cancel it if I were you, unless you think there is a problem with your Verizon order. It's only a couple of weeks more to wait at the most and more likely between now and next week. More importantly, when I ordered I knew my estimated ship date was 11/14, so it's really just a pleasant surprise to see it ship earlier than expect.

I too have the older Edge agreement which I consider a pretty good deal; The new one, not so much. If I were ready to upgrade to the newer model this time next year, I'd be pretty frustrated that I had to wait, having to make more unnecessary payments while I waited.

The advantage of the new agreement is smaller payments. I am stuck making unnecessary payments on my older Edge agreement, but it is a long story and on another telephone number. I like that phone (Droid Maxx) so much, that I may keep making the payments and keep it as a spare. I am really going to miss it actually. I want the iPhone for the better camera and a few other reasons, but not having wireless charging, simultaneous voice/data (VoLTE sucks right now) and the tight Google integration is going to be missed.

I wouldn't cancel unless I was in the store with the new phone in my hand. Apple would have to contact VZ to get a new Edge agreement and would make sure the phone hadn't shipped. Anyway between the time I left that post and now, the only thing left in SG is a 128GB plus. The 64GB plus has mysteriously disappeared. I could buy that on Edge for less per month than the 64GB over 20 months, so it is tempting. Just not sure I have the time today to go over there, so I will probably wait.

Edit: the 64GB SG has now re-appeared, so they have both 64 and 128GB pluses available. Anyone waiting that has a local Apple store should check with them because they might be able to get their phone today. Stocks are rapidly improving in Appleland.

I ordered at 6+ gold on 9/30 and still haven't seen anything move. I hate to say it, but if you ordered your device on 10/17, then I don't think you will see it ship until mid-November.

Looks like I was charged my Edge payment and I don't have my phone yet (ship date 11/14). Is that normal? I don't mind, as I'll be paying it anyway; I'm just wondering.

6+ 64gb Silver 9/30 exp 10/31 pushed to 11/03

I have the same configuration, but ordered 10/2. Original ship date was 10/31 and was also pushed to 11/3. Iconic still C. Fingers crossed for some movement soon!
 
It doesn't look like anyone that's ordered a 6 64GB Gold that was originally 10/24 has has any movement still. My new estimated ship date was 11/03, no sign of anyone moving yet.

My Best Buy has been getting a few units in at a time, and that's a few across all models, colors, storage and carriers, so they might get a 6 gold 128 at&t and a 6+ silver 16 verizon and that's it. I'm just calling every morning to there and Verizon, hoping one gets it, but 11/03 is less than a week away now (hopefully not delayed again). I've got my 6+ already, so I'm good anyway :cool:


I was sent an email about Verizon trying to contact me about my iPhone 6 64GB order. I guess they were going to send it sooner than 11/03. You may be in luck and those who are waiting for that date.

My order, placed on 9/28 for (2) iPhone 6 64gb Space Gray models and (1) iPhone 6 Plus 128gb Space Gray model, which had a ship date of 10/31 still has not had any movement , according to their status page. When I called last week, I was assured delivery on 10/31; but I checked our account with FedEx and UPS and there are no scheduled deliveries for today. I think at this point, I'm going to cancel my order with Verizon and most likely switch carriers at this point. My last experience with their customer service center tells me they've really changed focus as a company, and now they are no different than any other carrier out there. Time to start price comparing again!
 
I found this weird.. both of my devices that I just activated Wednesday say "Month-to-month" for contract end date and I'm eligible for upgrades. I'm a new customer and paid contract price. Does this usually change after the 14-day return period?

No idea but don't call and ask! :)

I know it's frustrating. As hard as it is, and as much of an Apple fan that I am, I have to put a lot of the blame on Apple. The demand is just so high, they underestimated big time. I'm also wondering if they didn't decide to release the 6 plus early to counter the Note 4.

At the end of the day your a Verizon customer and they have to take responsibility and should have set ship dates out another couple weeks, then exceeded expectations or at least met them, clearly that's not happening a lot of the time.

The new Edge is a bum deal. Better just paying the final 6 months and selling your phone rather turning it over to VZ. Id rather take $200 and get a 2 year contract than sign up for the new Edge program. Glad I got in under the old Edge.

Edge is cheaper for people using higher data plans. You get $25 off for a 10 gig plan.

That's odd. I ordered one of my people a space gray 128gb 6 Plus on October 6 (8 days after you), with an est ship date of 10/31. It arrived on Tuesday.

I also ordered two more of the same on 10/13 with an est ship date of 10/31, but those haven't gone anywhere.
