I received no emails (no confirmation, no anything) and paid for mine the day I placed my order at a Verizon store. I've been back three times and they said it was all still on schedule (including last Thursday - planning on going after work tonight).

Ordered: 6 Plus SG 128 GB
Placed order: 10/10
Est. ship date: 10/31

That's come and gone, and no change in status on either status check site or Iconic (still showing 10/31 ship date *TODAY* and the dreaded "C").

Anyone got any ideas on what I should do?

Those of you using ordertracker.me, please don't forget to update your accounts. ;) I've noticed quite a few of you have had your phones shipped, or even received them already and have not updated the tracker.
 
Got tracking early this morning will have a nice new iphone 6 64gb SG tommorow! Should I use squaretrade or apple care plus for warranty?!

If you are going to dish out the $99 either way, I would stick with AppleCare+. You are getting the same coverage and services, but its 1 step process vs. 2 steps. Also its a much smoother process getting continued support from Apple as AppleCare+ covers 2 years of technical support directly from Apple.

However if you wanted the same coverage of AppleCare+ (minus technical support) but didn't want to dish out the $99 and would prefer a month to month payment (like $5 or something). Then Squaretrade is your best bet.

For me personally, Its a no brainer. Dish out the $99 and get AppleCare+. Plus you can get a prorated refund for the $99 AppleCare+ if you upgrade your iPhone before the 2 year agreement is up. Just call in and they refund the difference.

AppleCare is a good deal, but it is important to note it does not cover theft AFAIK. I know someone that just had a 6 stolen from their car at a car wash. They were extremely lucky in that the local police were willing to investigate the theft and they had a felony arrest within minutes and this person got their phone back. The thief had removed the SIMM, thrown it away and put the phone in her car within seconds. I know people that leave their phones behind virtually anywhere. Not having theft or loss coverage is too risky for me and I go with the Verizon $10/month coverage. My homeowner's insurance has a $500 deductible and you don't want to ever use homeowners for small claims anyway. I'm probably dumb, because I have never had a phone stolen or lost, but it is a risk that you can insure for $120/year from Verizon. I wish Apple would offer theft and loss coverage at an additional price. maybe they do and I am not aware of it.

Ya I agree, if you are looking for lost/stolen coverage then paying extra may be your best bet. However Square Trade and AppleCare+ don't offer that coverage. Now a days with Activation Lock, as long as you have Find My iPhone on, your iPhone would be useless to them anyways. Ive had several friends get their stolen then it randomly gets turned in later as the person realized they aren't going to be able to use it.

Also, not that it matters, cs rep I talked to said my phone is set to be delivered 11/07, not shipped by 11/07. But given all the bs and delays, I'll believe it when I see it Friday

I was wondering about that. Did you need to call in and request it or did it automatically happen?
 
I ordered two 64 gig SG 6+ on 9/28. Ship date was 11/7.

For the past 5 days the Verizon website shows technical difficulties when I request an update. Has anybody else had the same experience?

I think thats a good thing it should be shipping soon I got the same error but not for 5 days i would call in just to make sure everything is ok..what does your iconic show?
 
Quick question for those that regularly use FedEx or would have more knowledge about this that I do. My phone currently says its at the destination sort facility in Pittsburgh. I am having the phone shipped to Ohio. So, will it be sent to my local FedEx facility tonight/in the morning then be put on a truck for delivery? Also, if I am not home when the delivery is attempted will they send it to my local facility or will it be sent back to pittsburgh? Pittsburgh is only about an hour from my house so its not that far but I have a facility 10 mins from my house.

I did it with cs online. Changed it right away. They will not automatically do it, you have to tell them to do it. I was told it will stay that way as long as I'm on vzw. 15 gbs for my wife and I is overkill, but for the same price as 10, might as well
