It's a UPS number. Go into your Verizon account online and look at your order history, mine reflects UPS in there and the tracking number link takes me to the ups website.
Seeing the full charge on your credit card is a very good sign. They do not charge the card until the phone is shipped. Most likely you will see a tracking number within 24 hours after seeing the charge on your card. I was able to get the tracking number through MyVerizon, Order Status, and 611 prior to receiving the order shipped email.
This is interesting as the VZW rep told me that I would not get mine until 10/7 and I completed my order at 3:18am EDT. Did your confirmation email say 10/7 originally?
Not true! There are a ton of us that have had our 6+ already shipped or sent for shipping. My email said delivery by 9/19 I ordered 16GB silver 6+ my card has been charged and it is in the process of shipping.
even weirder. When I ordered online, it immediately told me 10/7.
But in the confirmation email it said 9/19. So I wasn't sure what to believe.
Not sure why I ended up getting it earlier than it initially said
Ordered my 128GB space grey 6+ at 2:57 am EDT, got confirmation email with 9/19 delivery 2 minutes later, but still no order status update or shipping confirmation. I have faith that I will get it the 19th, but it would be nice to see that shipped status lol
I preordered two iPhone 6 Plus's (Gold and Grey!) at 2:01 AM central on the 12th. The confirmation email says 9/19/2014 but tracking the order online says delivery by 10/14/2014. Anyone have any advice on which date to follow? Order Status just says your order is in process (It doesn't say check tomorrow or anything) I live really close to Memphis which seems to be where some phones are coming from so could they be delaying the shipment until later this week?

I was immediately told 9/19, but my confirmation email said 10/7. 6+, 64GB, Space Gray, 3:18am EDT. Still hoping that I will get it this week, but I am becoming more pessimistic.
Weird that some people are now getting UPS tracking numbers instead of FedEx tracking numbers. I wonder if FedEx stopped accepting new iPhone shipments from Verizon in order to make sure they meet Friday's demand.
I ordered 2 ip6's and this morning my status shows tracking numbers.
I clicked on each one and it takes me to the fed ex page, but says "The tracking number you entered is invalid. Please correct it and retry".
Anyone else get this?

I had the same issue.
I got up at 2:55pm est to order my phone, but when I logged into the preorder site, I kept getting ECPD errors .
After 20 mins or so, I gave up and went back to bed.
I ended up pre-ordering my 64GB iphone 6 + around 8am at work, and got 10/7 delivery time.
After that first morning, I have been recieving the same order status message as everyone else.
Here is the status of your Pre-Order:
We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time.

Does it start with 1z? If so, it's ups. Sometimes it takes 24 hours for a new shipment to show up in their system. Sometimes I don't see shipping info til after I receive my package. It'll show up eventually... probably.
But yeah, somebody else in this thread had a ups tracking number but fedex link.
Ordered a 6 and a 6+ at approximately 3:45 am, ordered via Verizon Edge so I can't tell anything by when a CC is charged. The 6 said I would receive it by 9/19 and we have a FedEx tracking number stating same so that isn't an issue, I think pretty much everyone that ordered a 6 is getting their phone on release day.
My 6+ is a completely different store. When it was ordered it said receive by 10/7. The first few times I checked on Friday and into Saturday it still said 10/7. At some point Saturday evening it changed from receiving on or before 10/7 to shipping info not available. I've gone to another order status page that was posted here that "we received your order and it is in process", has been saying that since Saturday evening as well. In MyVerizon, when I try to go to order status is says that tool is not available at this time. I really needed my phone on the 19th, the 6+ is mine and the 6 is my husband's. My 5 is fubared and I REALLY need a new phone for many reasons so at this point I am pretty frustrated. I ordered a 64BG gold plus, order number 2108*** and order location 1456901. I am in North Carolina. Has anyone in a similar situation gotten shipping info on their 6+ yet? I'm losing my mind!
I ordered my 6 plus 64 gb silver about 3:25 am and I have been charged for the full amount today and I have a tracking number through Verizon's website (no email on shipping yet) and says shipped on 9/14 deliver by 9/19. I also live in NC. My order number is 2107***.
This is very wrong. Tracking info for 6+ has been coming out steady, my card is charged, and expected delivery is 9/19, yes 6+ inventory is light, compared to demand, but many people will get them in Sept. Where are you getting this false information, stop panicking people.
