I waited

And now that I'm reading all about the problems with iPhone 7... I'm really happy I waited.

My iPhone 6S Plus never looked better... :D

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple recycled the 6 design one more time... They can sell any old thing.
If you think this is issues then you've never been around during an iPhone launch. Every year there's something wrong with people's phones and there 72 different gates that come along with them

I THOUGHT OF LOCKE SAYING THAT TOO! Hahaha

Hey dude, that's cool that the iPhone 7 is not for you. But don't try to shove your beliefs down everyone else's throat. Heed that...
Hear me out of my own mouth. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying people have the right to do whatever they want and feel free to get the iPhone 7. I was in that boat myself.

I'm just slowing down and rationalizing this and critiquing it. That's all I'm doing.

Most people are going for the plus model this time around anyways. But as far as the 6s, well frankly we have it all. We have our headphone jack, iOS 10 is finally putting that 6s speed bump to good use, we have our 3D Touch if we like, and we can even buy those AirPods if we like...

If you're getting the 7 for AirPods then um, well that's illogical.

AirPods don't come with the iPhone 7. And you can wear AirPods with any of these phones. The 6s prevails here.

With phone costing what they do, and the resale value being what it is, I don't really see the reason in waiting two years to upgrade any more. You can up grade every year and say you buy the $970 phone, you can sell last years for about $500 on eBay. You spend $470 to buy the new phone. Or, You can sell two years ago iPhone for $250, Spend $720 net. So thats $360 per year for two years. Net- seems like you're spending about $110 per year more for the enjoyment of a new phone every year instead of every two years. No?

Be patient. Just one more year. Don't let that dopamine run through your brain and get the best of you.

Don't get the iPhone 7. The wait will be worth it. It always is! Appreciate your headphone jack while you still have it, wait till iOS 10 is polished.

Everything you wanted will be in the next one. Wireless charging, an upgrade from LCD technology. It's coming. But save that money!

If you have the 6s you don't have to upgrade!
This type of statement reminds me of some college kids trying to save money to get by.

No.

I genuinely can't see a reason to go from 6s to 7.

There is nothing wrong with that. The difference is you have a normal attitude about it and are able to discuss it reasonably. The OP on the other hand, is acting arrogant and his thoughts randomly jump all over the place and are anything but coherent.

I don't understand why people post things like this when installment plans exist that allow you to upgrade EVERY year. If you don't wanna upgrade every year it's your choice but just cause people are upgrading now, doesn't mean they can't get next year's phone. Enjoy the newest technology from Apple every year.

Obviously, if you're the type of person who gets every single phone, this isn't for you.

This is meant for the rest of us who really shouldn't be upgrading if we really don't have to. But since you're all here already, you all can take heed as well.

You can buy into the hype. But if you really sit back and think about it, is the 7 worth it. Why did you get it. On top of that the AirPods aren't even out so you couldn't have been getting it for that.

The iPhone 6s is still definitive. The iPhone 7 is just another clone phone. Once all this hype cools down, you'll realize this is not the time to upgrade. If ever there was a reason not to upgrade it's this year!!!

Appreciate that headphone jack while you still have it! Apple told everyone this was a rushed phone, released in the name of progress.

You mean the headphone jack I haven't touched in years?

I think it's a good phone and the performance improvements look very good as does the camera but I don't find my 6s slow nor the camera bad.

It's just blind-love for a product I can't stand. The iPhone 7 is a good phone but it is not perfect. It seems that Apple fanboys just can't see anything negative about it and that means Apple will never need to improve anything.

i respect your opinion, but did we really need to open a new thread for this? its great you don't wanna upgrade...cool, do your thing, BUT. people will always chase a new technology, so when the alleged 8 comes out who knows what people will want, and then there will be you saying wait for the 9. they have upgrades every year, 18 months, 24 months for a reason.... if you seriously want me to wait for the 8, tell me something factual about the "8" you that someone else doesnt.

I get a new iPhone every year no issue here.

What? I've never said anything about AirPods. You seem awfully confused.

That's great that you have everything you need in the 6s. You can happily stay with your existing phone. As for me, I'm happy to get the increased horsepower in the 7 Plus, a better display, increased battery life, and double the storage for the same price point. Then there are the two new features that are very important to me: waterproofing and the new camera system. I am a professional adventure photographer. I travel the world and routinely find myself in every weather situation imagineable. Now that I don't have to worry about my iPhone getting wet is a tremendous benefit to me. Also, the capabilities of the camera system are critically important as well. While I use dual Canon 1D X Mark II cameras and a Canon 5DsR to shoot assignments, it's my iPhone that documents my daily travels and every day life. I am a creative and the new iPhone allows me to better express my vision.

The iPhone 7 is a tremendous upgrade for many people. The fact that the new features are not important to you is ok and completely reasonable. But what's not reasonable is when you say things like "Heed this" and "Hear me out of my own mouth" and then you try to make gospel out of your iPhone 6s opinions. Communication skills are important if you want your thoughts to be well received...

Sorry but I will take the bird in the hand and still get the bird in the bush next year. No passing over the 7+. Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself that you made the right choice.

Agreed!

Jet Black is way too cool to wait a whole year for the 8! And, you have three full years after that with the same 8 body looks to look forward too so buy now and buy three years from now if you want to be frugal as a buyer! I usually buy every year since it enjoyable to do so and use a new model!
