I must be lucky because I haven't had any breakage from any EarPods. The only issue I had out of any of them was when I wasn't paying attention and accidentally sawed through the cord with my miter saw.

Your tech will be out of date within a year. If you can afford to constantly upgrade, then good for you. I prefer to save my money and upgrade every few years. You know, because the next one will be better and stuff.

Who are you to determine who is wasting money on iPhones or not? I'm pretty confident, if all your financial records were disclosed, the people of this forum would be able to find at least 30 things that they feel you're wasting you're money on. It's not your money, it's theirs. If they feel like spending it on an iPhone, that's up to them. Not up to you to determine if it's a waste or not.

Especially when you think about the fact that the very same people on this thread recommended in droves not to buy the iPhone 5c. That was a clone phone. When you think about the fact that its being reported that the iPhone 7 Plus is the model to get this year, while they leave the iPhone 7 in the dust. These products are becoming more differentiated and so we must take certain measures and make certain decisions!
And that decision may not include buying every phone that comes out! Y'all have got to catch this!
