Wait until iPhone X (2nd Gen)?

I really think you need to try and decide within the next two weeks. Worst case, your order the phone and decide you do not want it. Just return it within 14 days or resell it.

I do think it will be difficult for people to get if they plan on waiting. February is probably a realistic expectation. If I were you, I would preorder and go from there.

Pretty much this. Be ready to order the second online pre-orders open and see what delivery date you get. You should at least try for the earliest delivery date before giving up hope.
 
I don't understand the question. The X wasn't delayed. If you don't preorder early, yes it will be difficult to get one by the end of the year. In regards to waiting, there is always something better coming in the future, buy and enjoy when you want.

wait until the will make it from metal case and at the back will make the Apple symbol big like at the bake screen of the MBP for making it from glass for the wireless charge this is my advice free of charge for Apple

I definitely think it should have been 4 gb of RAM for a bit of future proofing. However, I’m sure the X will be fine as-is for 2018 needs.

I have to agree with you on everything you said. I am on an upgrade every year plan so it really makes no sense for me to not upgrade to the 8 for the exact same monthly price I have now.

I wanted the X as well, but production won't ramp up until about Feb/March. By that time, I'd rather be enjoying my 8 and know that XI will be right around the corner with many improved features. Such features include better Face ID, larger display and just the fact that it is no longer first gen product.

What makes you think that there will be an iPhone X2 or second generation? They jump from the "7" to the "8" and the "X" . . . skipped "9" altogether. Oh, maybe you meant the next iPhone model . . . whatever it is?
Since Apple broke with tradition, the next phone could be anything . . . heck, it might not even be a phone.
Not complaining though, because I love surprises. :D

I won’t be able to preorder the X this year, but I’ll be ready to next year

People saying that the delay will then cause them to be close to the iPhone x second release. I bet Apple will release new one in November next year too

Folks with plans such as AT&T Next will have to do some scrambling if the next iPhone releases a month or two before November next year.
