Anyone check the new iMac?
For the priced US $1,499.00 with dGPU of GT 750M, the shipping time needs 2-3 weeks, I think this dGPU also used by the new mbp too.

I was wondering why that was the case, but that could be why there is the delay in that version of the iMac - stay tuned.

9to5Mac speculating that there could be two events, with Macs coming in November :(

Meh, there's no proof, a whole lot of speculation, and bad speculation at that, IMO. This guy really thinks that Apple cares that there's "too much" to announce? Really?? This is a company that has got a lot of jollies from the "One More Thing" model of stacking up great news, and they're going to break up (read: dilute) that potential excitement by holding multiple events rather than have "A few more things!" ? ? ?

If October has an event and the rMBPs are ready to ship, they'll announce them. As many people have pointed out in this thread, they're not going to delay release of a sellable product for an extra month for no good reason.

Edited to add: His list also has a lot of random stuff just to make the list look longer. iWork for iOs, iWork for Mac, two different list items for iPad Mini, iOS7 apps (dude, iOS7 event is over). . . .You think this stuff is gonna need a special announcement or much time at all? NOT convinced.

I don't particularly agree with the arguments either, but with all the certainty on this thread about October, it's just a bit of a reality check to realise that's it isn't actually certain yet. Also, the semiaccurate article did mention last minute changes that could potentially cause delays. Still, October the 15th would be nice if it happens.

I agree - I also am keeping an open mind and realize that October 15 is just a rumor. But the logic of "too much to announce" just doesn't hold much water.

Hey guys, i've been lurking here for a couple of weeks and finally decided to join the community..I really hope that a new line of macbook pros are being released in october
Only time will tell..

Been following this thread for a while now. I'm hoping for a silent release sooner than October 15th cause I'm itching to get a new laptop after selling my iMac.

I'm with you too. There is also the problem of too many events. Everyone here would get excited over another event. But Apple has to be careful with the mainstream press. If they start holding 'boring' events, meaning 'just' computers, then they risk losing all the seemingly automatic hype and attention they've so carefully built over the years.

Events are a precious commodity. Apple has to spend them wisely.

.....The newly-released iMacs hinted on the possible specs of MacBook Pro 2013. Last week, alleged benchmarks of MacBook Pro 2013 surfaced. Based on the document, MacBook Pro will pack the new Intel Haswell processor, Thunderbolt 2 GPU, 4K screen resolution, OS X Mavericks and longer battery life.....

How likely will new Macbook Pros have Thunderbolt 2 and HDMI 2.0 ?

......interesting report...how reputable is this site?

Time goes at the same rate, your brain just suppressed the actual waiting and boredom maybe because it's too painful or something, so therefore making time seem faster because the long parts can't be recollected lol just my theory lol

LOL-Good theory!

This wait reminds me of the wait for the White Iphone 4 that took a year to come to market. I caved in after 6months as I couldn't wait any longer. Hoping it wont get to that stage if the October event never materialises

I'm still rocking my late 2006 17" MBP - and it is still my primary work computer as well. It is time to upgrade, though. Hopefully not much longer of a wait!

Tell me about it, I sold my iMac in June!!! In June!!!
Been on this thread since it started....

of course good things come to those who wait....right?

My gut feeling suggests Apple won't let it go past October, they just can't afford to. They will release a half assed product if need be, but they will not delay this beyond October. If they do, I'm out. I'll just buy a refurb or one of the QHD+ ultrabooks Zenbook/S9/M3800 (assuming these are out by then as well).

Of course, this is all speculation and Apple will release it when they release it, but I strongly feel they won't go beyond October.

We'll I hope apple will release it in October ... Been waiting since march, that's almost a 7 month wait with my 50min battery life PC laptop

:(

Agreed. There are too many competitive options on the Windows side releasing in October for Apple not to release the rMBP in October.

Just one month that I'm waiting but I'm really looking forward for that computer.

Hope for next tuesday. My birthday is in october 6th, it would be a great surprise from apple to have my rMBP before it.

Good luck everyone, I'm out of here. ;)

Max config BTO 27" iMac on the way! Well, in 5-7 business days. :D

That's going to be a nice computer for a long time. Just curious, did you get the 1TB SSD or one of the Fusion Drives?

I'm guessing we'll see the same or very similar PCIe 1TB SSD in the Haswell rMBP.

I went with the SSD. I try to avoid moving parts wherever possible!

I went back and forth on the whole purchasing decision, and decided that mobility wasn't really essential (I have work-supplied laptops), so... Why not.
