If Apple wanted to show real courage, they should consider adding a ARM A10 chip alongside the Intel Skylake CPU. That way you could run a proper iOS 10 + Apps right inside from you Mac. Oh, and they should include the option to have a LTE/4G simcard slot for mobile internet too. That would be a bold move, but I don't now how much the A10 chip would add to the cost. Maybe they could strip out the GPU part of the A10 and let the Macs graphics handle it?

So what's the point of adding A10 if they're going to take out the GPU? I thought the point was to ensure the apps tested on the Mac would have real world performance results. That wouldn't be possible if the GPU was removed (you'd get better performance in your tests then on your device. It'd also prevent sales of the iOS devices for real world testing anyway so that's not likely to happen.

Good point about keeping the GPU part of the A10. Didn't think about it and it could require extra work, so just put in a full A10. Not sure if it could drive the high ress of the retina screen though, but in a "window" sure. Apple would not do it of course, but it could breath some extra life into the MacBook line.

Hi guys! New MacBook Pros yet? Nope? Welp, see you later.

Oh, and Spring 2017 iPads? Hold off on the MacBooks until then, Apple. I dare you. Just see what happens.

Really though how many people would benefit from that? Just iOS developers, which make up such a small portion of actual purchasers. It would be nice to have a combo so that the A10 portion ran macOS and the x86 would run any app workloads (so that the OS is sipping power and would allow you to run the machine all day). But I'd imagine to achieve that seamlessness would take a monumental amount of developer work that it's not going to happen.

MBP's and iMac's are sold out and wont be available in the next 4 weeks at the biggest electronics retailer in the Netherlands, coincidence?
Normally there isn't such a big break from "old" to new hardware.
Btw where is the source for this and who is the retailer? Shops might still have enough of devices. Hmm

I was wondering how in advcance were shops informed about new hardware ? Are they even informed about it or do they just go by their guts like future buyers do ?

Regarding Media Markt, all Macs are still available in Germany for instant delivery and for pickup in store. It also sais that there are only a few left in stock. I'll keep an eye on any possible changes, especially if they go dry on Macs

OMFG! Finally someone who thinks like me! I have always wanted that. The prime reason for me wanting that is the MBP, they're silver aluminum, and the bezel is black. It would be perfect, and I can match both the MBP and iPhone. I hate Space Grey tbh, though am loving the new matte black and jet black, but MAN silver back, with black bezels, now thats awesome.

If Apples moving to USB C on their MBP, can we see the inclusion of USB C onto the iPhone. You thi
Pleasant view :)

It looks like the 15 inch might not be updated then...well for now it seems.

I wouldn't read too much into this. That would only make sense if the KL 13" chips were available and the 15" wasn't...but both are coming in 2017. Both should get Skylake this month.

Didn't a new Sierra beta drop today? Wasn't that supposed to be the one that was being implemented for the new MBPs? Has anyone looked into it and seen what's new?

Edit: this thing

MacRumors has learned that Apple is indeed moving rapidly toward a launch of the new MacBook Pro models, with the company's current development work on macOS 10.12.1 focused largely on preparing the operating system to support the updated hardware's new features, which have been rumored by several sources to include Touch ID support and an OLED "touch bar" replacing the current row of function keys across the top of keyboard. Apple is also said to be shifting to "Polaris" graphics chips from AMD on the higher-end 15-inch models.

Our understanding is that Apple is planning to seed one more beta version of macOS 10.12.1 for developer and public beta testing early next week, with a goal of finalizing the software update by the end of that week so it can be loaded onto the new hardware currently being produced by Apple's supply chain partners.

No I meant Skylake. What Im saying is that perhaps the 13 inch will be readily available upon release, and the 15 might not...based on shipping time info for current models.
