This doesn't necessarily mean there will be new info in this weeks beta.
It just means they re trying to finish 10.12.1 so it can be installed on new macs.
 
Hey guys, will the 3.5 mm jack be removed from the new MBPs?

And will there be multiple colors or just the normal silver?
 
I apologize if this has been said already and/or is old news, but the only Mac with the "new" badge on Apple.com is now the 12" MacBook. I seem to remember the 4k 21.5" iMac and 13" MacBook Pros having the badge recently, but I could easily be wrong.

They did not have them recently. depends what your definition of recently is...

but its been a long while
 
On the bright side, at least we're starting to see some action. Makes me more confident about the "late October" rumours.

The case leak still had a headphone jack. Colors, nobody knows, but I think the rMBP will get a lot of cues from the rMBP: same colors (maybe matte black) no magsafe, USB c, no backlit logo.

Here, lemme answer ya with an old picture.
It's from 13 June 2016.

Today, nothing have changed yet.
The 21.5" iMac still sports the fifth generation Intel Broadwell.
The "new" 27" has Skylake but without TB3.

It took us courage to skip (for over an year) the updates of our entire computer line.

Jeez, now I wish I was in the market for a computer back in June... I would jump at the chance to get an iMac mid-product cycle.

No backlit logo is my dream come true. The backlit Apple reminds me of those Chinese (and Otterbox) cases that people use with the big ass cutouts for the Apple logo. We get it, you have a Mac/iPhone. Maybe Apple will release a nice silicone/microfiber Macbook case like they have for their phones now.

Yessss, this. The backlit logos look like cheap white plastic-y artifacts from the last decade. It doesn't look clean, nor does it look high-end. The new mirror logo is subtle, yet refined and classy-looking. Doesn't try to show off, and is minimalist.

I'm sorry guys, I'm out.  is going downhill from here. The sierra update is just such a bad joke. I'll use this 2012 mba until it's death and then switch to something else. I'll go with the machine that lets me be control, not the other way around.

It's been a nice journey though, i'll miss Logic pro and the keyboard. Peace out!

LOL I can promise you Rose Gold'll look especially silly alongside a light-up logo. Think neon sportswear combinations and colored hair of the 80's.

Seriously, just literally imagine a bright rose gold (PINK) MBP, and in the center a huge plastic-y white light up Apple. No, seriously, imagine it :D HOW PREVIOUS DECADE CAN YOU GET LMAO

Whip that sh*t out, 150% chance you're doing some hardcore work :D
