I was at an Apple Store recently and talking to some of the employees and they said they can't wait for Apple to release the New MacBook Pros either.

I'm not going to do it but that buy a 2015 MBP and use it for a couple weeks and then return it when the new ones come it, It is tempting.....lol
Go for it bro, I got two rMPB 13 for me and my girlfriend today. Gonna return it even if I hear about the invites. If I like it, I would probably use these for a while.

Companies are also hoping for a new MBP
Waterfield Designs "Ready for New Macbooks?" Maxwell Sleeve Preorder

''Early Bird Price available till October 27! In anticipation of Apple's upcoming MacBook Pro refresh, we are updating our sleeve line-up with the new Maxwell Sleeve.''

I know there's always tons of iPhone cases in advance of an iPhone release, but this new sleeve from a recognized manufacturer is surprising, given the lack of information on the new MBP. Did Apple give out specs for the new MBP to Waterford and other manufacturers, or are they just going off of 2015 model specs? A risky move, if so.

if its a pre-order doesn't that mean they can just slightly modify the specs if needed when they are officially released? doesn't sound like it's in production yet.

Has anyone that works at apple ever acknowledged this thread? This is a serious question btw I have no idea.

(only been following since page 800)

Please..the invites...we need them

Besides the AMD Polaris code in the current OS how about Nvida in the MacBook Pro? The series 10 looks more powerful then the hard to find AMD GPUs.

maybe that's the play:

1. Don't update
2. Tank Sales
3. Justify discontinuation with "nobody is buying them"
4. iPad Pro ascends, for there are no options left
This is what I thought they were doing......and its all because of declining iPad sales YoY sales.

iPad sales were going to eventually decline because unlike iPhones, there is no fancy yearly upgrade program to keep demand up. Most people aren't going to spend another $500 to upgrade their couch browsing device. iPad sales should even out eventually.

Yearly upgrade programs and contracts are probably the only thing keeping the iPhone from hitting the saturation point.

Also, Apple not updating Macs is only going to turn Mac users into Windows users, which is far worse than spending some R&D out of Apple's vast cash stash to keep Macs updated. Once these Mac users have to convert to get real work done, they will instantly be less likely to keep buying iPhones, Watches, and iPads.

Officially? No. It's highly likely that Apple employees have read this thread though, maybe not in depth but, they're human too and we come up with some crazy stuff.

But MR gets hits from Apple IPs often, sometimes with preproduction OS releases. Well, Apple USED to. That was before everyone got hit with that Java malware (including Apple and Google Employees). I wouldn't be shocked if they discouraged this type of surfing.

So its our fault for not buying iPad Pros :(
Nope because guys like us need a real computer. iPad is a fun device to use when I am bored or when I need to tether MY MAC. And like @TechZeke said - If Apple wants to continue to neglect Macs people will move to Windows - not iPad. Again, we need real computers - whether that is a Mac or Windows. But absolutely not an iPad.

Yeah i figured they lurk on us but was just wondering if there had ever been an official occasion when they had said something when i wasn't watching. Im sure its easier for them to sit back and go, " dang, I can't bear to break these guys hearts, we'll just let them keep being optimistic"

Here's the problem with Apple wanting everyone switch to an iPad/iPhone:

Windows is a valid replacement for macOS/OS X and vice versa.

Android is a valid replacement for iOS and vice versa.

iOS is not a valid replacement for macOS/OS X.

Android is not a valid replacement for Windows.

Why? Well... see how they're in different colors?

And I'm not even going to mention the disadvantages switching from x86 to arm, reduced functionality, change in UI, lack of computational power, etc. That's already been discussed here ad nauseam.

Apple might be waiting for Sierra 10.12.1 to be golden before they make a final commitment to the time of the event. Once it is done and ready to load into the new MacBook Pro's in China, we have a go.

But apple won't release new computers until enough of us my iPad Pros.

Alright, everyone if you want a new MacBook Pro, we all have to do our part.

Everyone order an iPad Pro, and then post your receipt on this thread.
Once enough have been ordered, the invites will go out.

Do you think that Apple will keep the current rMBP and upgrade its internals to match with the new rMBP? While hopefully keeping the same price tag as the previous ones. I would buy a rMBP with Skylake at its current design in a heartbeat, with all my USBs, the Magsafe, HDMI and all that jazz. I dont care about no OLED bar, thinness, new colors, if it means that it will come with a $400 cap. I think Apple should do that, to justify the abnormally high starting price of the greatest and latest MBP.
