After reflecting on my past 2 weeks, I realized that:
- I slept at 3 AM almost everyday trying to read news on the MacBook Pros
- Always felt tired for school in the morning
- Skipped several gym sessions and hangouts with friends
This obsession over the Macs is becoming ridiculous. I say scr*w it. I just downloaded Borderlands 2, Skyrim and Fallout 3 to my desktop PC, hopefully I can survive until the end of October. If Macs are coming in March (they'd better not) I'll look for other hobbies to keep me occupied.
I swear I'll only check this thread once daily.
I wish I could say you have a problem.. and I can because I can parallel your experience. I realize it's only a computer but I love my Apple technology and I feel this is far overdue.
After five and a half years? No, not really. Check out what performance jumps GPU generations usually have.
This is what I'm hoping for. This would be a replacement workstation for me, I'm a huge virtual machine users/tester so while I have a server at home for those kinds of things, I'm not *always* home and need that kind of capability on the road. My Mid-2012 non-retina is still trudging along fine at least..

So I've been in the Apple Store tonight restoring my iPhone (can't do it at home because I live on a mountain and only get cell internet... long story). Anyway, after the initial excitement of playing with Macs wore off I started thinking about accessories for my new MBP. That led me to... the mouse.
Good lord, the Magic Mouse is awful! It's sharp and clunky, and the multitouch is completely useless. I was all set to buy one of these guys because I want a wireless mouse and I thought, "why not stay in the ecosystem," but dang...
And I don't even care that it charges from the bottom. 5 minutes charge lasts a day, that's fine. But the sharpness of those edges, terrible!
I think I'm gonna need more time to really think through my accessory choices. I am suddenly ok with no invites this week (well, not really but whatever).

I was at a best buy store and I asked the newb employee, "do you think Apple will release new MacBook Pro's anytime soon?" and this is what he said, "Why would they release any MacBook Pro's when they have the MacBook Retina (12")?" I literally said to him, "are you serious those things suck!" He was pissed off at me, who cares though?

Then I asked him when the new MacBooks are coming out and he said, "I haven't got a clue."
The mouse and keyboard are trash. They are the epitome of form over factor. Logitech mice and mechanical keyboards triumph over everything else.

Seems like the Razer Stealth Blade won't be released in time in Europe, and my new job accepted that I'll use my own Mac for a while.
Not sure it's a good thing, really I kinda enjoyed the "oh well, at least I don't have a choice and I won't wait anymore"
This being said, I might still go for the Razer or the Lenox Yoga with Oled screen - I have an OLED TV, it's just perfect-, and I still don't have much confidence in October release but hey, we'll see.
Asus has some good stuff too.
