If there is no MBP, I guess we are not far away to the 2017 MB which will be faster and hopefully more ports. Not bad really, and I know I will enjoy the silence from the fanless design.

This industry really needs a third player for professional environments. OS-wise.
Again, if my adobe stuff would run under Linux, the world would be a much better place. For me.

There are so many options out there... all running Windows. Belch.

Yes! That is it!

The future of the MacBook... I get it now. It was all a cryptic message.

They made us wait so long that there will be no fans... fanless!
They've kept us in the dark this whole time... silence!
My patience has becoming extremely... thin!

And there you have it folks, we are the new MacBook. We are... neglected!

I would know how many people switched to Win Laptops after all this period...
Even the best Apple fan's patience has a limit !!!

But we are diehard.

Still no word at all on new MBP? I wouldn't mind a 2015 model but want the price of refurbs to drop. ;)

Just had a dream I was in Tim Cooks house, he was 7' 2" and was having an NDA session forcing investors to buy failed Apple products in order to see the new MacBook pros. I later saw him again at an event in a Walmart...I think I've reached my final desperate form.

Good news the 15" started at $1,799 :D

Went to an Apple Store to get an old phone repaired. Started making conversation with the guy helping me and I told him I was in the market for a new MacBook Pro but didn't wanna buy the current ones because I heard they were updating them soon. I asked if he knew anything. He said apple was having a keynote late this month but if not, November. He said definitely before the year ends though. I mean he probably just read articles saying what we already know, but first time I got an Apple employee to talk about it lol.

I'm tempted to jump on a refurbished 2015 as well.
My only concern would be resale. Although a 2015 will be capable for years to come, a new redesign will certainly position the current models as 'old'.

I think the mods should be given credit for they way they handle this thread. I bet they are waiting for new MacBook Pros as well and can feel the collective pain :)

Well, the more posts, the more page views which means more money. So, I'm sure the mods and the owners are more than happy to keep this thread alive.

I have been waiting for this Mac from Feb. 2016. I search MacBook Pro 2016 every single day hundred times! Right now, 12 days before the RUMORED releasing day, still NO official confirmation is out here.

I hope this late complaint will become a joke next Monday, at least Thursday plzzzzzzz.

Apple tends to send invites a week in advance, so don't have your hopes up til Thursday.

Just made an account and first post here! Though I've been a lurker for what feels like forever.

There is no escape.

Started waiting for the MacBook Pro after getting into college (got into my reach school so, being a privileged ****, was getting the pro as a reward/gift). I'm now mid-semester sophomore year, and had applied early, so.

It's been almost two ****ing years man. I know you all feel my pain, I've been silently commiserating since - well, not the beginning, but... (and kudos to all you original troopers, damn.)

Couple years back my high school got me a mid-2012 MacBook Pro, which means I had no choice in configuration (but hey, free laptop!), so base config it was, no retina or SSD. Photoshop sputters that machine to a grueling slog, and it once took over 10 minutes to boot it up and get google docs up to take notes - class was already 1/5 over!

Got a chromebook to hold me over January this year. While obviously no workhorse, the simple difference of a SSD blew my mind.

Couple days ago the LED screen broke somehow, so now I'm doing work on a ****** TV monitor. Repairing it isn't even worth the price. Alas, this new laptop CAN'T COME ****ING FAST ENOUGH.

Do I need the new MacBook Pro line? Hell no lmao. My needs are perfectly fulfilled by the current line-up.

But who gives a flying ****? Skylake! Redesign! Give it to meeee. Apple better come through.

(As a side note, wrote this on my iPad Pro.

...I love it, and it's breathtaking for art, but it's not a computer. Not even close. GET WITH IT APPLE.)

edit: totally didn't notice how much I cursed until the asterisks censored everything hahahaha

OK, how likely is it that Apple are holding back in order to announce a complete move to their own ARM-designed bespoke chips for all Macs?

Or that they will migrate to their own chips in the 2017 iteration, and that Intel have got wind and are being awkward over Skylake supply, thus causing the current delay ?

Just wanted to check out the rumour I keep hearing...

I swear the people who work in the Apple Store and any store that sells apple products don't have a clue what they're talking about.
We the "consumer" know way more. I used to want a job at best buy about 10 years ago when I was 18 and I applied twice in a year and they never hired me. I would always shop there and the guys working in computers back then didn't know crap.
