As I've heard from others, I'd hold off and see if Apple is releasing an official docking solution. The quality of some of them currently on the market are little to be desired. What's the best, cheap USB c dock? A lot of the ones I found have bad reviews
MineYou guys think my cable will make it?
The text has been nicely explained.
Can some of you geniuses further speculate on what's going on with the logo? Is that water? Smoke? What's with the specific colors?
I think the black signifying OLED (bar) is an interesting thought...
Hi there! So, my first post here! Been keeping up with this thread a looong time as well. Thursday, when they announce the MacBook Pro's, is it likely that they will be sold out in a couple of minutes/hours/days? How has this been the previous times?
Are you saying you took it out of your pants now?
That Apple logo in the invite keeps reminding me of a fusion reaction... A10 Fusion anybody?
Not to be a party pooper, but the .ICS file for the March event was for two hours as well, and that event was barely one.The event .ics file from http://www.apple.com/apple-events/october-2016/ is TWO HOURS LONG... yippeeee that means LOTS of announcements and new gear...
<please don't be 2 hours of mario kart and pokemon go demos, you can leave out ALL mention of emoji's too>
Ok! So 2 to 3 hours after the event shouldn't be a problem is guessThe 2012s took a day to sellout.
these cables suck. i heat sinked the end of it. The whole thing is slowly falling apart.Mine

somethin like thatThis, my dear friends, i call commitment.
I've been thinking about how I would be using the OLED bar, and i thought of something. You know how the OLED bar will change based on the application you're in? Like, for Spotify, it could show fast forward, skip, volume, album pic maybe, etc. For Pages/Word, it could show stuff like your clipboard, font sizes, other creative stuff, idk. If you're on the desktop view, it would presumably show a normal row of function keys.
What if you're in an app like Word/Pages, and the OLED is completely filled with stuff about Word. Suddenly, the place you're in has the lights go out, so you want to turn down your brightness. But wait! The OLED has all the function row stuff for Word already on it. Does it still have a spot for a brightness slider/button? What about a volume slider/button? Will basic yet necessary functions like that always be accessible, or do you think we would have to click "away" from the application we're in (like, click on the desktop view and then macOS detects you're not working in that application anymore) so that the traditional function row comes up again?
Sorry if that was confusing, let me know if i should rephrase it.
Yes, and it wouldn't be unlike Apple. They did it with the 15" rMBP and it was $2200 on release. The Alienware 13" OLED is $1400 at the moment.View attachment 666712
