2nd one doesn't have a Dgpu

They both had the 2.8 option. There isn't anything left to select.
edit. i see it now
So you can only order the dgpu option if you originally select the 500gb storage option.
If you go 2.2 then add the 500gig hard drive and 2.8 it won't add it?

To be honest, I'm not too sure... I remember them being cheaper but then again UniDays used to be 15% until a couple months ago so that may account for the price change.

I honestly hope that price points stay the same, at least for this initial period
Can confirm that no adjustments seem to have been made recently. In March of last year the price of a base 13 rMBP with UniDays discount was £859.20, that's a 14% discount on the current price. The current UniDays price of £898.90 for the same model is reflective of the lowered 10% discount and shows no price adjustment following Brexit.

Seems like we might have to brace our selves for an unpleasant surprise come Thursday :/

Is there a big difference between 2.5 and 2.8? (dgpu)$180 price difference

The time has finally come! i have been waiting patiently for the last year and a half! I am still running a Late 2008 MBP with a blazing fast 2.53GHZ Core 2 Duo! It has trouble playing 1080p videos on Netflix and Youtube.

The best feature of my laptop is that the screen is broken and it is being held together by a vice grip. The battery dies at 94%, so i need to be tethered. Come thursday, i will be free from the shackles of this laptop. I cannot wait until thursday! I dont think ive ever been this excited for an Apple event

Here are some pictures of what im working with

So, whats the story behind this.

So, whats the story behind this.

Yeah I haven't ever been this excited either and I want to hear your story too with the vice grip.

Well it's not that excited hah. I was at my girlfriends house and had my laptop on the ground next to her guitar. I accidently knocked the guitar over and i see my laptop looking like a Lenovo Yogabook. The screen had bent backwards and the metal screen frame was cracked right where the vice grip is now. I was thankful none of the connectors were broken.

The vice grip is used so that the screen does not fall backwards and destroy the connectors.

Thank you for the story, appreciate it. My story is that my MacBook Pro has been repaired about 7 or 8 times and next time I take it in it's due for a replacement. I just can't wait and I really hope and pray that they don't give me a classic rMBP but the new one that comes out if I like what is released. WOO HOOOOOOOOO!

Interestingly, Microsoft is supposed to be announcing a Surface AIO when rumors say the new iMac is not until 2017.
I wasn't planning on buying an iMac but plan on getting a MacBook Pro. I can say I am really sad if they don't come out with a new upgraded iMac for those wanting and needing one. I have had 3 iMacs in the past and am content with my Mac Mini from 2009 that I hacked it to be able to run Sierra (woot woot). Also my neighbor Patrick gave me the Mac Mini a few years ago for free with a dead hdd in it so I bought a $69 SSD and a used 27" Samsung Screen for $30 that was broken and I fixed it. So I have a Mac Mini and screen for less than $100 that to me runs better than my iMacs that I had in the past with HDD's built in (my Mac Mini being packed with an SSD).

I'm still using a Mid 2007 here. It has a lot of history:
- Power supply replaced. It started not charging anymore.
- Battery replaced. Laptop was shutting down even if it said plenty of battery was left.
- Upgraded RAM to 4GB
- Logic board replaced (Nvidia GPU disease). Had to pay for it.
- Original HDD started to have bad sectors and hung, replaced with a "Hybrid" drive
- Power supplied broke again, replaced by cheap knock-off. Then I started not trusting the cheap one so I started to use my girl friend's power supply which is on its last leg and all frayed.
- Battery started swelling, I started using it without battery. Then I found out that the CPU is underclocked when you don't have a battery. So I bought a cheap unofficial battery.
- I got hit by a car while I was biking and it was in my backpack. The body is now crooked and opened all around the sides, but it still works.
- It recently fell off from pretty high while turned on and the hard drive completely died. I bought a cheap SSD as a replacement.

I also use a Dell Latitude (Haswell CPU) at work which I find completely unusable on the go. Its track-pad is terrible and the laptop doesn't suspend correctly which makes it unusable for usage in transit. 4-5 times a day I have to save everything, shutdown and boot again...or leave it cooking in my backpack. It has so many moving parts that it feels like something is going to fall off every time I pick it up - and sometimes it happens: the DVD-drive pops-out by itself. So...I still use by MBP 2007 everyday!
